After facing increasing pressure to take some form of action, Netflix has fired The Ranch star Danny Masterson, effective immediately. The actor stands accused of raping four women in the early 2000s; the Los Angeles County District Attorney and Los Angeles Police Department continue to investigate the claims. As a result of ongoing discussions, Netflix and the producers have written Danny Masterson out of The Ranch, a Netflix spokesperson tells TVLine. [Monday] was his last day on the show, and production will resume in early 2018 without him.... Masterson also serves as an exec producer on The Ranch, although theres no word if he will maintain the title.

Yes, I was trying to get the poster to admit to his own cruelty. You just said it better.
People who are saying something particularly disgusting often prefer to be vague rather than come right out and say it. Questions like, “What do you mean, exactly?” generally go unanswered, and if you spell it out, they’ll often protest, “I didn’t mean THAT!” as if everyone couldn’t tell.
I read that the victims did go to LAPD but Scientology put pressure on the police.
He was good on that show. He’ll be hard to replace.
Why is all this stuff coming out now?
Thank you for the translation.
I figured it was something to do with his current TV show, which I’ve never seen.
The Ranch is a good show. Ashton Kucher is on it and I saw him say in an interview that this show is for conservatives because everything on TV is liberal and the conservatives need a show, too. Kucher is a very conservative guy. But I don’t see how he couldn’t have known about his friend raping women.
tried to watch that thing when it first came out, but it was so icky I felt like I needed to go shower after the first episode. ugh.
Apparently. And let me just add how happy I am to be retired.
“tried to watch that thing when it first came out, but it was so icky I felt like I needed to go shower after the first episode. ugh.”
agreed. i lasted less than 10 minutes of the first episode. nothing in it but the lowest form of humor: stupid bathroom and homo jokes with a REALLY obnoxious laugh track. Sam Elliott looked like he was embarrassed to be in the show. Nothing in that show was funny to me: i didn’t laugh a single time.
the only sitcom that has been funny to me since Seinfeld has been “Silicon Valley”.
I used to work with Danny’s uncle. I even met him a few times when he was a kid. Too bad he turned out like this.
Because of Trump - pro or con. Is it to eventually trap him or did he start it to take down pizzagate? Or it has turned into a fad to take down whomever Millennials don't like.
+1 on that. I was going to post the same thing.
I don’t buy it.
This feels like a contract among thieves was broken, and now all will out.
I agree they tried, are trying, to take out Trump, but look at all the collateral damage, all on men.
2 words: Contract law.
He does look like Gord Downie a bit.
California had a ten-year statute of limitations on rape charges until this past year, Jan. 1st, 2017.
Now there is no time limit on sexual assault accusations or charges in Californian.
California’s law is NOT retroactive, so Danny boy will escape criminal charges this time...but good luck to him finding work.
A number of other states either have or or are adopting similar laws, with more hurrying to get on the bandwagon.
.
(right there with you lol)
I haven’t seen the program, either.
My point is that conviction after more than a decade is very difficult,
During the “That 70s Show” years, it seems. Lots of bit-part young women were likely available to him then. Why are they waiting until now to yell rape?
