After facing increasing pressure to take some form of action, Netflix has fired The Ranch star Danny Masterson, effective immediately. The actor stands accused of raping four women in the early 2000s; the Los Angeles County District Attorney and Los Angeles Police Department continue to investigate the claims. As a result of ongoing discussions, Netflix and the producers have written Danny Masterson out of The Ranch, a Netflix spokesperson tells TVLine. [Monday] was his last day on the show, and production will resume in early 2018 without him.... Masterson also serves as an exec producer on The Ranch, although theres no word if he will maintain the title.

He could get a job starring in "The Hills Have Eyes."
I will put it on my list of things that I don’t care about.
Cue the intro to “That 70s show.”
Are we not going to follow due process any longer? Can we all just make claims and then get someone fired? I don’t know who this actor is nor have I seen The Ranch, but don’t we have to follow any rule of law?
The guy is a big big BIG time Scientologist.
Hopefully he can find Jesus in prison.
It doesn’t effect my life at all, but I’ve read that Danny and one of his sisters have converted to Scientology.
Since their father has not converted, those two have broken off all communication to him for the last few years.
That seems rather cold and cultish. To each his own.
For some people, acceptance by their peers means a lot more than acceptance by their own parents.
I think the Jehovah Witnesses do this too if you have been excommunicated from that faith. The JW have a different term for it.
Your employer is under no obligation to wait for a jury verdict to fire you... the government can’t put you in jail without a formal arrest/charge... but your employer can fire you for whatever reason.
Early 2000 he was young and on a hit TV show.... don’t know exactly what the allegations are... so won’t speak to them, but I really doubt he was having trouble getting laid.
Although I understand your point, this is a private company. There are no legal charges and I assume Netflix did their own Investigation.
Not gonna happen. He's not going to prison, the statute of limitations on the alleged rapes has long since passed.
What is that supposed to mean?
Exactly!
Bad PR is bad PR. Only thing you need to be guilty of is effecting the bottom line.
I don’t think he will be going there over this. 15 year old allegations are hard to prove. I don’t understand why the accusers didn’t go the police at the time. It is not like this guy was a Harvey Weinstein powerful type of Hollywood big wig.
He was the character Hyde in "That 70s Show." The incidents supposedly happened during the time the show was on.
Millennials have changed the US judicial system to guilty before declared innocent.
In Hollywood, where ‘Image is EVERYTHING!’ due process is non-existent. Usually there is in every actors contract a ‘Morality Clause’ that allows them to be fired for just such things..................
Another Hollywood perv bites the dust. And this one is particularly satisfying to me given his sanctimonious defense of the cult of Scientology.
I believe that the poster is using the phrase “half a downie” as a reference to Down’s Syndrome, perhaps believing this sounds better than saying Mr. Masterson looks “retarded” or “Mongoloid.” The remainder of the post implies that Mr. Masterson had no option but rape to vitiate his priapic urge, because women would not consent to fornicate with a person with Down’s Syndrome.
If you’re thinking this sounds like something a Democrat troll would say to make conservatives sound like creeps, you’re not the only one.
Scientologist freak. They will miss his millions.
