A North Carolina math teacher was arrested after being accused of having sex with three male students.
Erin Elizabeth McAuliffe was taken in custody after a police investigation concluded that she had sexual relationships with two 17-year-old students and one 16-year-old student. She was charged with three counts of sexual activity with a student and one count of indecent liberties with a minor.
Rocky Mount Preparatory School, where McAuliffe worked until the investigation began on May 4, acknowledged the scandal in a statement to WNCN.
"We have been fully cooperative with local law enforcement during the course of their handling of this matter," the statement read.
The encounters reportedly took place outside of school grounds.

I wonder if these kind of scandals did not happen in schoolhouses back in the 1800s or even 1700s. The only difference was we didn’t have an Internet to instantly broadcast these situations to the entire world. It was probably kept hushed up back then and any justice was carried out outside the court system.
That said, I cannot say I had any fantasies about teachers when I went to school. They seemed strict and I tried to avoid them outside of the classroom. I was more focused on my female classmates who generally did not pay attention to me. At least not until years later when I started having money. Money makes a man more attractive to women, that I can tell you.

But they sure weren’t having it and most were married
One was Most beautiful at Ole Miss but she’d warn us when cops were coming with dogs and locker searches
But I had a lady principal eighth grade who on one occasion spanked me with a frat paddle for being wiseacre to my 20 something math teacher and making her cry
The principal was about 35

Gets caught while her husband is outta town on business with several football players at the same time....and supposedly with toys and leather gear
No charges
Fired and they moved.....not sure how her marriage went from there ....

That's why I thought posting this one might be justified, although I didn't know until way down the thread that it was an older story.
She violated teacher's regulations. Fire her and pull her cert -- she can find another job outside of education. If her local school system prescribes further punishment, go for it. But the criminal law shouldn't have to do anything, because...
The boys were all above legal age of consent. If she weren't a teacher, the law wouldn't raise an eyebrow.
So read the boys the Riot Act, give them something useful to do for penance for being stupid enough to make it with a teacher, but no permanent record for them.
They'll be telling the story on internet forums for the rest of their lives, probably with salacious details of which we have no idea. Not to mention a little embellishment... boys will be boys, after all, as so many commenters here are demonstrating.
