Barron Trump stepped out alongside his mother, first lady Melania Trump, at the White House Monday afternoon as she greeted the official White House Christmas tree.
The 11-year-old, President Trump's youngest son, hasn't been spotted much since moving to Washington, though President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama often enlisted the help of daughters Sasha and Malia around the holidays.
Most famously, the two Obama daughters often stood alongside their father as he pardoned a turkey every Thanksgiving week.
Barron Trump may be put in the same position, as the turkeys have arrived in Washington and a lucky one will be pardoned by President Trump tomorrow, the first time the Republican has participated in the event.
Melania Trump stepped onto the North Portico, sporting slacks, heeled boots, a red turtleneck sweater and had a plaid trench coat draped over her shoulders, a style the first lady loves to wear.
A dressed-up Barron was wearing a white button down shirt and a jacket and slacks with boots.
The two Trumps greeted the horse-drawn carriage and spent about a minute surveying the tree before going to meet and take pictures with the Chapman family.

Maybe I should have said muscle TONE.
I didn’t intend to say he should be building muscle mass at his age.
Activities like weight training aren’t recommended until the ages of 16-17 depending on the individual.
Physical activities such as running, swimming and calisthenics (push ups, pull ups, sit ups, squat thrusts, etc.) are just what a growing body needs.
The mass building activities can wait for the appropriate age.
He’s a very handsome boy.
She’s wearing 3” heels.
I remember that growth spurt around 11 or 12, I actually had aches and pains from it. I never imagined growing pains were literal but when so much of it happens practically all at once, it does.
I agree, a growth spurt like that has got to consume a bazillion calories; at this point he probably couldn’t put on any muscle mass even if he wanted to. He is reportedly active in soccer, so that’s good.

When you are growing bone growing muscle at the same time is problematical.
Different hormones spur the height and growth of muscle on these young kids. And then there is the problem of growth plates when they are in their early teens.
But we’re going to get opinions of personal trainers and yoga instructors.
Looks to me like she’s still got an inch or so on him, but it won’t be long before he is towering over her. Going to be a tall young man.

It must be hard to live under a spotlight when you are that age. I love how Melania is so protective of him; she is like a lioness.
The president married well; in all cases. He has children of whom he can be very proud.
Melania is the greatest first lady ever.

I noticed that! I think he’s just an inch shorter than his father. Are we placing bets on how tall he’ll be at full height! I feel sorry for this handsome, young lad — quite tall for his age, so everyone assumes he’s older than he is. Also, when was the last time a President had a young son in the White House, other than John John Kennedy? Do we go back to Teddy Roosevelt? The Ford boys were already out of college, and the Carters were full adults. FDR’s sons were serving in the military. Reagan’s sons were fully grown. There have been lots of daughters living in the White House, but no sons in recent memory. Lots of pressure on young Barron.

One of my sons grew 6 inches over the summer, but he was a sophomore in high school. I'd wager that Barron has a few more inches to go!

OMG! Thanks for pulling up that picture. I noticed that he’d grown, but the contrast is just stunning.
I don't understand comments like these at all. He looks trim and slim to me, and I read he's avidly into a number of sports in school.
Also, there's a workout room in the White House, and I'll bet he utilizes that with friends and family and has a lot of fun.
My wild guess....he's on the soccer team at school...and this would keep anyone fit!
