I still watch Forbidden Planet a couple times a year.
Really well done flick with a great cast.

Funny thing, when Robby makes noise he sounds like an adding machine.

That’s the “Forbidden Planet” Robby, not the “Lost In Space” Robby.

I think Robby appreciates the charms of a youthful Anne Francis.

I had always assumed that they just reused the prop. Lost in Space was not exactly big budget.

I remember the Sears Christmas catalog back in the late 50s or early 60s had a “Robby The Robot” toy.
That was a great movie and Anne Francis was really pretty. Didn’t all Sci Fi professors have a hot daughter?

The first episode had a space tank fighting a huge space monster.
Us kids thought it was going to be great!
Pretty soon, they had an episode with guys wearing vegetable costumes.

In Lost in Space he was a “roe-butt” as far as I remember.

Forbidden Planet has to be one of the best, if not the best written Science Fiction film ever made. Aliens is right there too.

I watched this movie pre-puberty and post-puberty.
It was a different experience.
However, the script and story is strong. Who knew what an ID was? Religious overtones.
Plus comic relief. Robbie belches after drinking some liquor.
