The NFL announced Saturday there has been no change in its national-anthem policy despite a Veterans Day campaign to boycott Sundays games over the take-a-knee protests.
Boycott the NFL, a Facebook page with more than 227,000 followers, has called on supporters to tune out Sundays games in solidarity with veterans around the country, while the conservative watchdog group 2ndVote asked fans to stiff-arm the NFL.
Were sending the National Football League, its corporate sponsors, and the television networks a message this Veterans Day weekend! said 2ndVote. Americans are sick of the disrespectful National Anthem protests that the NFL has not only allowed to continue, but has institutionalized in pregame ceremonies.
About 22,000 people have indicated on Facebook that they plan to turn off the television for games.
2ndVote, which monitors corporate political activity, also launched the hashtag #STANDwithVets.

Klein had a heart attack a couple of years before. That had to factor in.
Barry Alverez’s “kids” continue to win! He has put together one awesome program, hasn’t he?
Bring on Michigan!
Here’s the text of the message that I sent to the NFLPA, via the link that you provided:
“As a Veteran of our United States Marine Corps, I am not only offended by your social justice protests during the time that would normally be reserved to observe those who made great sacrifices to insure your rights to do so, I am also disgusted.
As a life long fan and supporter (Shareholder since 1997) of the GREEN BAY PACKERS, I cannot continue to ignore the fact that the NFL Players Association places more importance on pushing an agenda than providing unifying entertainment that people have paid hard earned dollars to enjoy. As a result, I will no longer participate in any activity that gives even the slightest support to the NFL and the NFLPA. I will not view any televised games, purchase any NFL merchandise or subscribe to any programming that sponsors the NFL.
Sincerely,
Howie66”
Thank you for posting up that info!
75% of the NFL players are black men.
The owners were (and are) afraid of being called "rayscis" if they told the players to cut it out.
The players themselves don't even really know what they are protesting, but the millionaire players do know it makes them feel better about themselves.
Fun game, yesterday. ALL of those touchdowns should have been ours...but it was nice that the kids shared two on picks. ;)
What else did we expect from stupid people to do such a stupid thing as denounce their own country??
One cannot stop a bunch of ungrateful over paid DFG’s from acting ignorant but one does not have to watch them acting ignorant. Low viewership equates to less money for the NFL which is very good
“I dont do FB either.”
Very smart.
Good one. More people need to do the same.
Here is the link to NFLPA. They provide the format to send a message to them. Have at it. The more, the merrier! I would suggest keeping the message short and not using too many large words, though. :-)
