The NFL announced Saturday there has been no change in its national-anthem policy despite a Veterans Day campaign to boycott Sundays games over the take-a-knee protests.
Boycott the NFL, a Facebook page with more than 227,000 followers, has called on supporters to tune out Sundays games in solidarity with veterans around the country, while the conservative watchdog group 2ndVote asked fans to stiff-arm the NFL.
Were sending the National Football League, its corporate sponsors, and the television networks a message this Veterans Day weekend! said 2ndVote. Americans are sick of the disrespectful National Anthem protests that the NFL has not only allowed to continue, but has institutionalized in pregame ceremonies.
About 22,000 people have indicated on Facebook that they plan to turn off the television for games.
2ndVote, which monitors corporate political activity, also launched the hashtag #STANDwithVets.

BTW,
OUR LOCAL PAPA JOHN’S is ALMOST giving away PIZZAS!
LOL.
2 LARGE, 5-TOPPING PIZZAS FOR $20.00 !!!
The nfl has given in to the predominant ethnicity in football, and has given the finger to this country.
No more nfl for me.
I just sent them a short note.
To whom it may concern;
The National Football League is no longer national. It has no relevance to me or my family. We will not be buying any more shirts or hats that support the spoiled millionaires who despise us.
Regretfully,
A former fan
I could care less about the NF’nL.
FYI the NBA has taken the opposite approach. I watched a halftime show with members of the armed forces having a shooting competition among other promotions.
Won’t be watching NFL. bye
Their will be no NFL here at this home.
As much as I hate the leftists who have infested the field, coaching staffs and management of the NFL, another related issue for me is the way the owners hold cities hostage by demanding taxpayer-funded stadia or else they threaten to move the teams. I’m tired of this blackmail.
For my part I don’t think I have ever actually paid for an NFL ticket and I never will, so they probably don’t care what I think, but it is crony capitalism at it’s worst.
“At this point what difference does it really make?”They will feel the cold reality that we are not coming back when the add up the numbers on Monday morning.
How do you spell losers? NFL
>>>Almost wish I were still watching so I could quit.<<<
Exactly my sentiments.
How can I skip watching on Veteran’s day weekend since I’m not watching them any other weekend?
I don’t even order Papa John’s.
The problem with college football is that these kids grow up to become NFL thugs (some are already thugs in school).
More afraid of labor than paying customers. Big mistake.
It also says they can be disciplined for not “opting.”
A few weeks ago I donated all of my Green Bay Packer clothing to the local homeless shelter. Before long I’ll be seeing drug addicts and mentally ill people walking around town wearing my old NFL stuff. Revenge is sweet.
My boycott of the NFL is a “should”, not a “must” as well. :-)
Bump
I don’t do FB either.
After meeting with myself I have decided to maintain
my policy with regard to the NFL. Further, I will
continue to kneel each time I hear the Isley Brothers
song ‘Fight the Power’ being played in any venue.
