I learned in the Navy that blacks might be friends in a mixed environment but when they get together it’s best to stay away. True of shytkickers too

My pair of Asics was only $40 and no one is trying to steal them off my feet.

Kids...and some adults...insist on spending hundreds on sneakers.I have a problem paying $75 when I need walking shoes (meaning sneakers). But then I feel no need to outwardly appear rich...or cool.

Sounds like the kid knew at least one of the attackers. Was it an “old friend”, or was Aiden mistaken? If it really was an old friend, why ain’t he in the hoosegow squealing on his homies?

Funny thing, he's 6'2” and didn't even consider throwing a punch in time to defend himself.
He does not live in a neighborhood like that where he expected that would happen and in his home, never heard language or anything at all to give him a heads up about 'thugs' It was all new to him.
He was with his two friends (both smaller than him, by far) and took that f’n beating over a coat.
BTW-He spent months at the local driving range/golf course shagging balls to earn enough money for the coat.
He got HIS lesson more dramatically than any of us could have explained to him. He's real clear on things... NOW

Liberals like to say that white kids learn racism at home. No. This is how they learn it.
My oldest son was in the first grade when he noticed how bad the "kids with brown skin" behaved on the school bus.

In the early 1970s I had relatives that still lived in Camden,NJ. My cousin told me that he would run to school and run home with Obama's sons chasing him. They would beat him up and steal his shoes. One day they grabbed him and said, "man,we are tired of beating you up" and let him go. One night we were over his house around 1970 a few days before Xmas at a family get together. His dad went out to walk to the liquor store and came back two minutes later with a bloody nose. He was mugged and beaten.
