Suburbicon, despite high-profile stops at the Venice and Toronto film festivals, is tracking to open in the $5 million-$7 million range from 2,045 theaters. If so, that would mark the worst wide opening of Clooney's directing career, as well as one of the weakest starts for leading man Matt Damon, who stars opposite Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac.
HA HA!!! Just what we need another Hollywood bash fest of the 50s and suburbia. What new is there is say that was not covered by crap movies such as "Pleasantville".
GOOD. Jigsaw actually looks interesting to me.
Also, so very tired of Hollywood's vendetta against suburbia and the people who live there. I was raised in a suburb, my hubby was raised in various suburbs. Both of us have lived in suburban settings all of our lives. I have never met the kind of people that Hollywood portrays as living in suburbia. sigh
High profile stops at film festivals where everybody hated it. The general consensus is there’s a reason the Cohen’s never made it. Meanwhile Saw is a license to print money, not much money, but that’s what controlling the budget is for.

sinister racism ...BIG theme in Suburbicon
