One of the most devastating political earthquakes in modern American history took place between 10PM and Midnight in the inner rooms of the Clinton campaign in their VIP suite on the top floor of the Peninsula Hotel in Manhattan.
The day started auspiciously enough, with RealClearPolitics continuing to show Hillary Clinton in the lead, just as she had led the polling average for the past 98 days. RCP predicted that Hillary Clinton would win 297 electoral votes to Trump’s 241, comfortably surpassing the 270 needed for victory. This prediction was mirrored by polling “guru” Nate Silver’s vaunted 538 website, which bestowed upon Clinton an overwhelming 72% chance of winning the White House. As the evening progressed, with his polling results in shambles, in an astounding reversal intended to salvage what was left of his reputation, by midnight Nate Silver had flipped his odds, giving Trump an 84% chance of winning.
But midnight was still an eternity away, as the plodding tabulation of counties and states continued. The early euphoria and celebratory atmosphere at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan was already dissipating, as Clinton’s supporters stared bewilderingly at the giant screen displaying the electoral results.
The first chink in the dam was the state of Florida, where Trump showed surprising strength. As the evening wore on, Trump also took the lead in North Carolina and Ohio. Astoundingly, Pennsylvania, followed by the formerly reliable rust belt states of Michigan and Wisconsin, were doggedly in play.
Despair and disbelief settled over the Javits Convention Center as Trump improbably racked up state after state. A mile and a half away at the Peninsula Hotel, the Clinton campaign went black. Key aides in the VIP room stopped returning calls from the media. The complete story of what was transpiring in the Clinton inner sanctum may never be revealed, but according to reports a horrific drama was unfolding.
One account said to be leaked by Secret Service agents who were present revealed that Hillary was in a “psychotic drunken rage” and had to be sedated. According to at least one source, she hurled profanities at those around her, overturned tables, and turned anything not nailed down into projectiles. Those around her were physically attacked. The hotel staff which cleaned up the next day found the floors littered with expensive food and drink, broken champagne flutes and silverware. They reported that a custom 150-inch HD television, donated by the Saudi Arabian government, was smashed by a $950,000 bottle of champagne intended for the expected coronation of Queen Hillary.
With Hillary in an uncontrollable rage, her aides could not permit her to make a public appearance, and John Podesta was dispatched to address her despondent followers at the Javits Center. Her meltdown continued all night, and at 6AM she made a sobbing, incoherent phone call to an old friend. Somehow by late morning she had pulled herself together sufficiently to deliver by rote a dispirited concession speech, in which she called upon the nation to accept the fact that Donald J. Trump would be the next president.
The expected formality dispensed with, Clinton and her inner circle wasted no time in challenging the legitimacy of said election. And now, almost a year later, as the media feeding frenzy over alleged Russian interference in the election continues unabated, she continues to doggedly feed speculation that the election could somehow be overturned.
In an interview with National Public Radio’s Terry Gross, while acknowledging that she is unaware of “an official way” to dispute the election results, Clinton refused to rule out such a possibility: “Would you completely rule out questioning the legitimacy of this election if we learn that the Russian interference in the election is even deeper than we know now?" Gross asked. “No, I would not," Clinton replied. "No, I wouldn't rule it out." She pointed to the recent overturned election in Kenya as an example of the removal of an illegitimate ruler.
The sordid downfall of Harvey Weinstein provided another opportunity for Hillary to switch the focus to Trump’s alleged unworthiness for the highest office in the land. After waiting five days to condemn her longtime friend and Democratic political fund-raiser, she issued a statement condemning Weinstein, emphasizing “that this type of lecherous behavior can’t be tolerated in any industry, including politics.”
In interviews, she was quick to point out: “After all, we have someone admitting to being a sexual assaulter in the Oval Office.” Just as Weinstein was removed from his position of power, should we settle for less with regard to the current occupant of the White House?
People in high places reportedly are working towards this very goal. In an article in The Hill, Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Sidney Powell warns that a key member of the Special Counsel’s team investigating Russian involvement in the election is bent upon taking Trump down. Powell notes that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s “long-time friend and former counsel,” Andrew Weissmann, a key member of his team, “may be seeking to nullify the results of the 2016 presidential election.”
In June, NPR helpfully cited an unsubstantiated Bloomberg report which alleged that the voting systems in 39 states were compromised by Russian hackers. Ratcheting up the rhetoric, Clinton refers to the alleged Russian interference as “cyber 9/11 ... a direct attack on our institutions … That may sound dramatic, but we know that they probed and tried to intrude into election systems. … Yet I never imagined that he would have the audacity to launch a massive covert attack against our own democracy, right under our noses — and that he'd get away with it." Again, she refused to rule out questioning Trump's legitimacy, pending the findings of the Russia probe. This from someone who called Trump’s response to a question about whether he would accept the election results as “horrifying,” saying he was “talking down our democracy.”
Grasping at straws, in a provocative article Newsweek magazine alleges that “there's still one very narrow, highly unlikely and entirely unprecedented way that Clinton could become president.” The magazine cited Harvard University professor Lawrence Lessig, who foresees a series of "if/then scenarios that lead to House Speaker Paul Ryan handing the White House keys to Clinton.”
This contrived scheme requires that Trump is found to have colluded directly with Russia, and either resigns or is impeached. Vice President Pence would also be implicated and would leave office. Next in line is Speak of the House Paul Ryan, who in Professor Lessig’s fanciful scenario would then hand over power to Hillary Clinton (based upon her winning the popular vote in 2016) in return for being appointed Vice President. In the words of Lessig, “It would be the most extraordinary event in the history of America since the Confederate Army fired on Fort Sumter. But unlike that, this event would build the union, not divide it."
Throughout her interminable book promotion tour, Hillary Clinton has rarely failed to miss an opportunity to attack the legitimacy of President Trump with thinly-veiled bitterness: "There was a concerted operation between WikiLeaks and Russia and most likely people in the United States to ... weaponize that information, to make up stories, outlandish, often terrible stories that had no basis in fact ... which were used to denigrate me, my campaign, people who supported me, and to help Trump," she said.
Should she, God forbid, somehow succeed, the confident prediction that such an event would “be the most extraordinary event in the history of America” which “would build the union, not divide it” would surely prove to be as illusory as the so-called “evidence” against the President.
Kinda like someone changing their prediction of the Yankees / Astros game at the top of the 9th inning last Saturday night.

No, obviate the Electoral College in favor of the popular vote. Sounds unbelievable but I would not put anything past Hillary in her desperate attempt to roll back the clock. Hence the desperate scenarios presented by the likes of Prof. Lessig.

Thanks for the clarification. Whatever the cost, I believe that the Clinton campaign was willing to spare no expense to celebrate the culmination of a "remarkable career" that "broke through the glass ceiling" to elect the first female president.
I really believe that Hillary Hag will keep this going until she either gets put out of the DNC by the ‘rats’, RINO’s and GOPe or she dies...

In the Bible it talks about an ‘antichrist’ but it does not mention whether the antichrist is male or female and if you want to look at Hillary Hag and follow this thinking, she is the antichrist and we all know what happens there...

I believe she’s ALWAYS believed that — since the ‘60s. You’d think that she’d have re-assessed her future plans when she was fired from the Watergate investigation for lying (intending to fabricate “evidence”). That’s not a good way to start any career.
