It's been obvious from the get-go the father murdered this child, got rid of the body, and the mother is at least in on the cover-up. I blame only the parents, but additional facts make me especially sad: the little girl was adopted at age two and the couple who adopted (and evidently killed) her were given preference over other couple because all of them were Indian. Well, a foreign-born two year old is hard-to-place, so it seems especially pointless that any emphasis was given to the race/ethnicity of the parents. This wretched couple obviously didn't really want to care for a child who had developmental disabilities. Again, I'm not blaming the adoption agency, because I am sure the couple held themselves out as Five-Star parents, but how tragic.

Agreed. Decent humans don’t put a 3 year old child outside in the middle of the night alone as punishment.
