Corey Feldman arrested for marijuana possession after speaking out about Hollywood ‘paedo ring’ (tr)

FORMER child star Corey Feldman has been hit with a drugs charge just days after he spoke out about sexual abuse in Hollywood.

The 46-year-old, who starred in films including The Goonies and The Lost Boys as a teenager, was due to perform with his band in Louisiana, USA, before being arrested by police.

He was charged with one count of possessing marijuana and one count in regard to a traffic violation, according to local reports in Richland Parish.

The News-Star reported that the actor turned musician was not held in jail overnight but that he will likely have to pay a fine.

He was due to perform at the nearby Live Oaks Bar & Balloroom but in a Facebook post earlier today the venue said that: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Corey Feldman show has been cancelled.

"We would like to apologise for the cancellation. He will still be coming to hangout and it's totally free".

Local reports suggest six other individuals were also charged at the time of Feldman's arrest.

The arrest happened a few days after Feldman spoke out against sexual abusers in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.

Writing on social media on Thursday, he detailed his alleged experiences while a child star in Hollywood.

It isn't the first time he has spoken out about the issue and alleges that a paedophile abused him and other child stars.

I care about Corey Feldman. I feel really sorry that he went through what he did at the hands of demons in Hollywood. He’s been sounding the alarm for a long time.

He's been a drug-addled train wreck for a long time. Right now he's enjoying the most publicity he's seen since Corey Haim died and he plans on milking it for all it's worth but nobody in Hollywood is losing any sleep over what revelations Corey Feldman might spill.

I wonder why...

but nobody in Hollywood is losing any sleep over what revelations Corey Feldman might spill.

Depends. Now that the flood gate is open, things might actually start to get investigated. And, it depends on the person. If his person is as big as Feldman claims, that person might just be worried...

It’s too bad authorities won’t take him seriously on the matter. Hollywood is a cesspool of sexual deviancy.

Who gets arrested for marijuana possession anywhere anymore? Oh...I know. Someone who speaks out against powerful and influential pedophile that’s who.

More likely targeted.
The dark world of Hollywood gay child abuse is very close to breaking wide open.
There was a reason Corey has been reluctant to name names.

I do!
When I was 20, some creepazoid tried to pick me up at the bus station when I was coming home from college.
I had no idea what was going on until I told my parents.

Yawn. Corey Feldman has been talking about "naming names" since his star fell from grace a quarter century ago and every day since then he's been trying to regain the wealth, celebrity, and adoration he enjoyed as a teen. But mostly he's been doing a sh*t ton of drugs.

He's never going to name names because it would close the door on any remaining opportunity for a comeback and every washed-up has-been in Hollywood thinks they're Robert Downey Jr. and only a phone call from Tarantino away from a return to the good life of celebrity and fortune. But he'll string people along thinking he's going to because when you're Corey Feldman, any press is good press.

Furthermore, if he truly had the goods on powerful people, the stuff that could send men to prison he'd either be: a.) dead or b.) bought off with a return to the good graces of Hollywood (which is all he really wants). He wouldn't be slumming around Loservilles driving from dive bar to dive bar in a rented Winnebago.

Where is Sessions?

Sessions is wondering why Feldman was quickly released after paying a small fine for a marijuana bust when he should be doing hard time.

Sometimes, you just gotta do what’s right and count on the people to back you up. Don’t just name a name. Name every sordid detail of where, when, what movie, who knew...etc.

I am not so confident that some of names would want their day in court and a months long trial. Even if they win the suit against some basically broke child actor, they still lose.

Wasn’t one of the prime suspects Charlie Sheen on that film Lucas? That’s where Feldman said it happened. So say it was him, and he sued. Doubtful he could win.

“He’s been a drug-addled train wreck for a long time.”

Can you think of a reason why, any reason? Just one? Hmmmmm. Your compassion-o-meter is busted. Better get that checked out.

“but nobody in Hollywood is losing any sleep over what revelations Corey Feldman might spill.”

Oh but I bet they are. Couldn’t happen too soon for me.

according to my aunt who is a small time producer. only four movies to her credit. Louisiana is courting Hollywood heavily giving tax breaks relaxing coder enforcement on set for productions. this makes me look at his arrest and wonder if there was a concerted effort to get him into a jail cell setting.

it might be coincidence that he was picked up on drug charges but it also might be a warning shot to Corry Feldman to shut up. if it is a warning my guess is that the warning part happened after the arrest when he was in jail and someone talked to him privately either inmate or maybe even a guard at the jail.

Everyone needs to get a grip. His RV (tour bus) was speeding. Most places don’t let anyone off the hook for speeding. Remember when Reese Witherspoon and her husband were arrested in Tennessee? I think it was DUI, but I cannot remember exactly. She apologized for doing something stupid and she was welcomed back into the Hollywood fold. And back in the day, we enjoyed the movie ‘Lost Boys’. Corey Feldman was really good as one of the Frog Brothers, vampire hunters. Give him a break. As he wrote in his autobiography, many young boys were molested and I suspect that that is still the case. Molestation can cause lifelong difficulties. I HOPE the entertainment industry awakens and boots the sleazy directors/producers/actors/actresses. They have been feeding our youth garbage for too long. And that includes Disney.

In Texas, possession could, at one time, get you as much as twenty years in the slammer. Just insane.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/hollywoods-other-open-secret-besides-harvey-weinstein-preying-on-young-boys

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in 2016, Feldman said: “[Haim] had more direct abuse than I did. With me, there were some molestations, and it did come from several hands, so to speak, but with Corey, his was direct rape, whereas mine was not actual rape. And his also occurred when he was 11. My son is 11 now, and I can’t even begin to fathom the idea of something like that happening to him. It would destroy his whole being. As I look at my son, a sweet, innocent, 11-year-old boy and then try to put him in Corey Haim’s shoes, I go, ‘Oh my God—well of course he was erratic and not well-behaved on sets and things like that.’ What more could we expect of him really?”

He continued, “Everybody deals with things differently. I’m not able to name names. People are frustrated, people are angry, they want to know how is this happening, and they want answers—and they turn to me and they say, ‘Why don’t you be a man and stand up and name names and stop hiding and being a coward?’ I have to deal with that, which is not pleasant, especially given the fact that I would love to name names. I’d love to be the first to do it. But unfortunately California conveniently enough has a statute of limitations that prevents that from happening. Because if I were to go and mention anybody’s name, I would be the one that would be in legal problems and I’m the one that would be sued. We should be talking to the district attorneys and the lawmakers in California, especially because this is where the entertainment industry is and this is a place where adults have more direct and inappropriate connection with children than probably anywhere else in the world.”

In Wisconsin the state troopers require payment(deposit) for a ticket on the spot if you are from out of state. Cash or credit right there on the roadside. Been there done that.
