Unlike what weve seen in recent weeks, college football Week 8 wasnt loaded with upsets, shocking losses or many huge surprises. There were some serious statements made, however, by teams looking to gain a foothold in the soon to come College Football Playoff rankings at the beginning of November.
The two biggest games of the weekend were rather lopsided affairs. Both USC and Michigan were chewed up and spit out by their respective opponents. Meanwhile, the likes of Alabama and TCU made easy work of the poor teams they were matched up against

Hopefully Penn State won’t have to suffer long. However, I hope My Missouri Tigers continue to die a long slow death. Enrollment and donations are down 25% and I believe this is just the beginning for the 2 and 5 tigers.
Going to be a lot of new coaches in the SEC next year.
Penn State fans chant We want Bama
Be careful what you wish for!LOL!
The prognosticators got way ahead of themselves, because they overate Harbaugh as an elite coach. Harbaugh needs to focus more on coaching up his players in the off season than all the distractions of his satellite camps or overseas trips.
Really, Skippy? LOL.
You are talking about game 2 of a season that involves new coaches, particularly after a complete overhaul on the OSU offense coaching staff. If you can’t get up for the other games that’s OU’s problem, although Iowa State is playing inspired with their 3rd string QB. ISU lost in OVERTIME to Iowa, the same team Penn State beat by TWO POINTS.
Since the OU loss OSU has been absolutely rolling through lesser opponents just like Alabama has. The same can’t be said for USC, Washington, Washington State, Clemson...
And yes they do play for a reason. An entire season...
Go Dawgs. Could the Dawgs and Bama play each other twice....naw Georgia will get screwed even if they are undefeated at the end
Penn state is real. Quality program and players. Lots of Christians involved.
Travis Homer has done a good job at rb for the injured mark walton.
They should beat up on unc next week.
I wouldn’t worry about them being undefeated at the end any. RTR
One of us will, that’s why we play the game.
Let’s go, Hokies!
You want classy, this was Nick Saban after the game with Arkansas. I don’t see how anyone cannot like Saban, although they probably are tired of him always winning:

I think Penn State looks good on the field. Just think they should have gotten the Death Penalty and will forever root against them because they didn’t.
I’ve seen a bunch of blown calls over the years, but unsure if it was cheating or incompetence. Worst ever was the USA against Russia basketball game where a gold medal was stolen by the Russians.
They got a keeper in a coach...
Looks like McElwain is on his way out, with his bizarre “Death Threat” statement.
A lot of speculation that he wants to leave UF and go to Oregon State, I say, “Good Riddance.”
JoePA was railroaded by a vicious media mob. Don’t believe the lies. Huge PSU fan here.
I love Penn State. There are also quite a bit PSU fans on here too. Pretty terrible though that you believe the media bias when it comes to JoePA. He was railroaded by the pre-MeToo movement.
No. He ran that program for decades. A coach is raping kids in the shower and thats all a mystery? People went to Joe and told him. He didnt fire the guy quietly or keep Sandusky away from the program. The football program was being used to entrap and rape children.
Penn State should have been given the Death Penalty. Enabling child rape is worse than anything SMU ever did.
I read the testimony and interviews. Go do it yourself Forget about football. This isnt some silly game. These children were damaged forever by a rapist and Joe let that happen on his watch and covered it up.
Youre trying to cover it up lying here on this board.
Paterno was a child rape enabler and hes responsible for what happened t those kids. Hope he has an answer when he faced God.
You have no clue what you’re talking about. Paterno reported it as required by law. people didn’t “run and tell him”. All that was given to him was second-hand information from Mike McQueary about something he felt was uncomfortable and gave that to joe paterno DAYS LATER and then he reported it to head of police at Penn State who he trusted to investigate. And the football program wasn’t used for that lol. It was the Second Mile and Jerry met other victims that had nothing to do with football. The building facility where it allegedly happened with the shower (boy was never found) was merely a location. so I’ll proudly root for Penn State and continue my admiration for JoePA while you join the liberals in the media mob and Pre-MeToo movement.
