FULL TITLE: High school football coach 'told players to taunt boy with lesbian parents on the opposing team by asking him "who's your daddy?"'
A high school football coach has been accused of telling players to taunt a boy on the opposing team during a game about his lesbian mothers.
Duane Greaton, 49, left his position at Gray-New Gloucester High School in Gray, Maine, as a result of the allegations this week.
He allegedly instructed the boys on his team to taunt a teenager from Yarmouth High School, their opponents, during their game last Friday.
Players said that before the game began, Greaton told them to tell him: 'Who's your daddy?' whenever he was tackled.
The players told their parents about his instruction and they then notified the targeted boy's mothers, Stephanie and Lynn Eckersley-Ray, to inform them.
Neither Greaton nor Gray-New Gloucester High School has commented on the allegations.
Stephanie Eckersley-Ray told local newspaper The Press Herald she was grateful for the parents on the other team for telling them about what Greaton allegedly said.
None of the boys followed the instruction, they said.
'We found out because some Gray parents and players stepped forward and we are extremely thankful to them.

The players reported the coach to their parents. The opposing team apparently (according to the article) never knew of the instruction.
I played organized Football for 10 years.
During that time I had a few Coaches that had a sadistic side, but none were as stupid as the Coach in the article.
This isn’t about being a snowflake, it’s about being a decent human being.
Attacking a kid for his Mom’s decisions is zhitty.
My personal opinion is that any Coach who would tell his team to do something this crappy is compensating for certain “shortcomings” in his life.
The article does say the coach is gone. He was either fired or he resigned.
I hope the allegations they made against him were true. It would be a shame if vicious lesbian lies cost a man his job. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time. Nor will it be the last. But even if every word was true....
I don’t think he should have been fired for it. But he was. And who knows? He may have had a history of making remarks like this. And this was the final straw.
One thing is clear though. Make comments like this and you will lose your job. It’s OK to insult men, fathers, husbands, Christians, Whites and many other groups.
But never lesbians.
“Whats the problem?”
He’s picking on the child over something the child can’t control.
Lesbian parents?
Wow!!!
So how was it that a felon got a job as a coach at a high school?
Don’t they do background checks?
I used to work with a Reservist who’s family had “My GRANDMA wears combat boots!”, and would meet her on return from deploymets.
That’s what I was wondering. That took 3 seconds to find.
Yep, he was guilty of the worst possible crime you could commit in America today.

I thought Ali’s braggadocio was kinda fun. He never really talked bad about others, unless my memory is faulty... He just told everybody what HE could do. And he usually did. And I don’t recall when he lost, that he said he was cheated, or some such.
He did make fun of Howard Cosell, but they were buddies.
As for his conversion to avoid the draft - I didn’t like that.
In this particular case - neither of my sons (nor I) would have taunted him.
Thanks for finding that.
If I had any respect for this coach at all - it is certainly gone now.
Yep.
A turkey baster has no say in the matter.
I have to agree that much of his talk was showboating, and often was done in a good natured way (I presume, because seeing video of it is far different than reading it in the paper...in the video, it often seems clear he is over-the-top clowning around) no matter how derogatory, but that is not at all what it has turned into, that is for sure.
Unfortunately, his story didn't have a happy ending.
Agree completely. Today’s kids go way too far, and I’m calling the NFL, NBA, etc. “kids”, because a lot of them are.
Have a great weekend, FRiend.
“Unfortunately, his story didn’t have a happy ending.”
You are absolutely right, but in his prime I would not have wanted to be an O lineman having to stop him...He was ugly, mean, and vicious.
The things you said:
“The purpose of this article is to normalize perversion and generate sympathy for perverts. The purpose of normalizing perversion is to undermine and degrade the civil society, transferring more power to the State.
The issue is never the issue. The issue is always The Revolution.”
I disagree - the purpose is more likely make people aware of this coach’s actions. This allows the world to see that it is unsportsmanlike and frankly un-Christian behaviour. I am concerned for you if you do not see this.
I would also say that the purpose of YOUR post is to normalize the perversion of freedom and citizenship.
This was one of my favorite Ali moments, with English soccer manager Brian Clough.
