Jennifer Lawrence revealed in a speech on Monday night that she was forced to participate in a “degrading and humiliating” lineup while naked and was told to lose weight when she was starting off her acting career.
Lawrence, who was being honored at Elle’s Women in Hollywood event in Los Angeles, stood at the lectern and detailed her experience of being mistreated in the entertainment industry.
“When I was much younger and starting out, I was told by producers of a film to lose 15 pounds in two weeks,” the 27-year-old actress said to a crowd that included Kristen Stewart, Margot Robbie and Ashley Greene.
“One girl before me had already been fired for not losing the weight fast enough,” she added. “During this time a female producer had me do a nude lineup with about five women who were much, much, thinner than me. We all stood side by side with only tape on covering our privates.”
Lawrence called it a “degrading and humiliating” experience and said the producer then told her she should “use the naked photos” of herself as “inspiration” for her diet.
When she did try to stand up for herself, another producer said she was “perfectly f—kable," Lawrence said.

I’m sure this a dumb question, but why do the various entertainment industries (movies, music, fashion modeling, etc.) get to exploit people in ways that are not now tolerated out here in Squaresville? In other words, why do these industries still get to break labor and employment laws? I suppose the answer is because the people who want careers in these industries won’t speak up and take on the perpetrators until after decades of abuse have occurred.
Vu Phoung, a Vietnamese actress says Weinstein tried to get her to let him show her how to do sex scenes. He told her “Lots of stars have done it.”. I’m convinced all these stars aren’t telling the whole story.
She refused and says she gave up acting because of the experience. Kudos to Ms. Phoung!

well.....you are going out for a part in a script that calls for frontal nudity. If I were the director I do think I’d want to see how you look naked before selecting you for the part. Tell your agent to turn-down such parts if you don’t like it.
They want the fame and fortune. It comes at a price. They sell their soul to the devil. She got her fame and fortune and would do it again in a heartbeat.
There isn’t a actor that hasn’t been a porn star in some way.

I don’t think that was the case. While I think he had the photos, I think an actor she was banging convinced her to let him take those pics and then forwarded them to Harvey as a gift for all of his “generosity”.
I’m wondering how the Kate Upton photos made it into the public ... You figure, only two people would have had them ... Kate and her boyfriend. I doubt they were hacked. I’ll bet Verlander forwarded a couple onto friends for bragging rights.

Mystique is essentially nude in character and she had to be in proper physical condition to play the part and she was out of shape and over weight two weeks before shooting started
The budget for this flick was around 178 million bucks and Mystiqe was a major character who could make or break the movie and its 178 million buck investment
Lawrence knew what was expected of her for the part and was in violation of her contract . No wonder the producer was freaking out .
It did not help Lawrence's case that she was following the act of super model Rebbeca Romijin , who was in great shape for the part
That is sad, I was just making a stale joke. I cannot believe people have such a lust to become famous they would debase themselves that way.
JLaw is from Louisville and her parents are great people. Her mom runs a popular day camp here. My daughters worked there and knew JLaw. My son threw mud pies at her. When they took her out to California, I thought it was tantamount to child abuse. Hollywood is dehumanizing and degrading, which explains why their political views are so consistently stupid. But take it easy on the Lawrences. They are flesh and blood like you are.

Movie companies get away with this because girls like Jennifer are easily interchangeable and replaceable. They are NOT special. They are a dime a dozen and only differ by what (and who) they are willing to do for a job. PS. the rumor is that J-Law was one of “Weinstein’s girls” which means she puts out for him.
