Who ever falls BACKWARDS while running DOWN stairs?
Gravity and inertia both say you would fall forwards.
Also, if in a high heel shoe, the toe is encased and protected. A hand, wrist, arm, finger, etc. might be broken in such a stair fall, but not a toe.
All BS

All BS Maybe, but I wonder if posters will spend as much energy on a Hillary/broken toe conspiracy as they have on the Las Vegas shooting conspiracy?

Yep, if you are falling while walking DOWN stairs you would fall DOWN not UP..Ive slipped on a wet step before, my knee was black and blue and my arm was all scrapped up, didn’t break my toe

Running down stairs once, I slipped and slid down the stairs. I twisted my ankle and banged the back of my head and my tailbone. My toes were perfectly fine. Of course, I didn't have a coffee cup full of Kentucky sippin' 'coffee' 😉😜😉😜 at the time. I hear that Jack Daniels makes an extremely smooth 'coffee'!

How does anyone RUN with a cup of coffee?

My thoughts exactly. How do you fall backward when you are "running" down stairs?
