las vegas shooting doctored timeline permits paddock as patsy conjecture
me | 2017/10/09 | me

So far as I am concerned, there is the highest doubt that SCP is the shooter as this article and just about everyone else in the media seems to be assuming now. This is because of the doctored timeline that LE initially gave out placing SCP in the room after the outdoor shooting and shooting at Campos before shooting himself.

The doctored timeline could well have been used IMHO by LE to plant the notion that SCP was the shooter and was alone— i.e., a so-called “lone nut.”

Tucker Carson had some SS agent on this evening and both Tucker and the agent blissfully made the presumption that SCP was the shooter when there is no evidence that I am aware of that has been made public that SCP was even alive when Campos stumbled into the room.

The alternative scenario is that SCP is a patsy and was executed before or during the shootings. His body was placed in the room to provide a convenient story for the public to focus on while the trail of the real perps grows colder by the hour.

The patsy conjecture explains why there is a problem with the lack of motive. Under the patsy conjecture there is a lack of motive because SCP was in fact not the shooter.

The wire transfer to SCP's girlfriend is at best circumstantial evidence and at worst totally irrelevant or planted.

LE seems to me now about thoroughly discredited as a legit source of info on the mass murder.

A person in the USA is innocent until proven guilty. SCP will never get a trial to prove his guilt. SCP is at most a suspect and will forever be at most a suspect.

What am I missing?

And why not? It’s more rational than the tale that’s been spun.

MGM stock was shorted in August.

Here is a scenario that makes sense. The conspiracy is a big one. Maybe SCP got dragged in because he laundered money for the someone and was dirty. Maybe SCP had a bad feeling about it beforehand and maybe he sent his GF away with some money.

LV LE caught off guard and off base. Concert promoters and security caught off guard and off base. MGM Resorts caught off guard and off base. Everyone lawyering up for a massive negligence lawsuit naming the city, hotel, promoters, security, and all subcontractors, even possibly the performers.

(dodgy) MGM Resorts lawyers take over operations, sequesters the security guard who turns out to have a shaky history, challenge dodgy) LV LE. Somewhere between LV and NYC is a “situation room” with nothing but lawyers working this 24/7. LV LE does not have a situation room full of $500/hr lawyers working 24/7, so LV LE is being jerked around by changing stories of “witnesses” and evidence that mysteriously vanishes and their political bosses at LV city hall who are owned by the hotels.

Would the legal pressure serve to keep the story line simple (SCP lone nut theory) or more complex (SCP patsy theory)? Which theory would minimize settlement losses?

“A real investigation would have involved a complete shutdown of everything within about a 350 to 400 yard radius of the center of the concert venue the night of the event whereupon thorough searches would have been conducted for anything that indicated another shooter in another location - or anything out of the ordinary...”

In theory, yes. But Impossible for LEO to have accomplished when they have thousands of people running for their lives. It would be so easy for the shooters to blend with the crowd. Easy for a shooter to have either headed upstairs and harbored in The Four Seasons Floors 35 and up.

It’s possible for a shooter to have escaped as a security or maintenance guy in uniform.

Oh I’m not arguing whether or not another shooter could have escaped. That much is obvious.

I’m arguing that LE should have known to treat an area 450 yards from the center of the field as a potential crime scene *after* the fact.

Go and look for evidence - even if they managed to police all their brass, there may still be evidence of another shooter.

To ignore the possibility that another shooter could have been there is an egregious error.

Did you see this? I am guessing LEO changed the timeline because they got wind of this about to hit the news.

There are 2 witnesses who say Steve was firing in hotel before firing on the crowd. Maintenance man told his superiors call the police we have someone shooting.

I’ve got a serious problem with the “200 rounds” thing. I’m confused ...

The gunman (possibly but not definitively Paddock) sees the approaching security guard through the camera set up on the room service cart in the hallway. The trap has been sprung.

The gunman then blazes away through the door, but that’s what mystifies me. Most semi-autos have a maximum magazine capacity of 30, maybe 50. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a 100-round magazine and surely not a 200-rounder. So the gunman hammers away with 50 rounds, stops to change magazines, hammers away again, swaps, shoots, swaps and shoots? Did he even check the camera to see if he hit the security guard in the middle of this fusillade? Why didn’t he just open the door and finish the job at close range with a single round?

The alternative to magazines is a belt-fed weapon, but I haven’t heard anything about metal links found on the floor. Then again, I haven’t seen any definitive weapon information, such as which guns were fired, which weren’t, how many calibers, how many empty casings, any tracers or incendiary rounds, etc.

Still so many questions about this one.

Since the gunman had no qualms with murdering dozens, why not pull the unarmed guard into the room? Execute him as well, Toss his radio and phone out the window. No blood trail or holes are left in the hallway. Assume firing at the crowd below.

this raises the possibility that stephen schuck was told by MGM Resorts to remain silent, but he chose to step forward after the LV LE came out with the doctored timeline. I wonder if Schuck is going to be allowed to keep his job. If Schuck went against MGM Resorts then my uneducated guess is that not only will he be fired but he will not be able to work at any other casino or hotel anywhere in Las Vegas (also in stateline, reno, etc)— blacklisted

Why didn’t he just open the door and finish the job at close range with a single round?

Because the shooter was not the patsy SCP? And so the shooter did not want to show his face?

LOL SCP patsy conjecture makes lots of this easy. So why does LV LE continue banging its head against doctored timelines and lack of motive for SCP?

It is a bit of a quandary to posit that SCPLN (SCP lone nut) would be human enough take fastidious care of his GF to get her out of harm’s way and then mow down 58 people that he does not even know (but most of whom undoubtedly support 2A being country music fans and therefore conservative politically). I think the reason they can’t find a motive for SCP to do this may be because SCP had no motive and in fact SCP did not do it.

Maybe someone should call up the LV Sheriff and suggest that he investigate the SCP—as-patsy conjecture if the Sheriff is too dense to come up with it himself. He’d look better off if he did imho. He can’t look much worse. I went to a shoe store today and talked with the saleslady and even she expressed skepticism to me about the Sheriff’s new and improved timeline without need of any prompting by me. No wonder the Sheriff looks pissed all the time. He is probably taking orders from above and so on back to the $500/hr lawyers sitting in a war room in NYC. If I were him and I was told by a bunch of lawyers to parade in front of the world without clothes I would be pissed too. LOL.

Yes, that was my point — Why the hell would they expect us to believe that a third-rate hotel in Lima, Peru would have video cameras in its residents’ hallways continuously recording but a modern Vegas casino would not?

Are there video records of happenings in the hallways & elevators? If there are, why not at least say there are? If there are not, why not? Were there comings and goings they’re not telling us about?

I think he was a patsy, and an easy mark to become one. If you take the current narrative. Multi-millionaire dumb-ass. Easy mark, no matter how he made his millions. If you’ve made millions you can enjoy Vegas for years at video poker. like his dad at bingo. It’s in his family lore to be a rebel, gambler and badass and he seemed to relish in it. By the reports of course. being that way I think he became involved in a conspiracy willingly and since he was out of his league he ended up dead on the floor of that room. my theory anyway. I hope we know the truth sometime in the near future. but now it’s hard to believe anything reported.

well I have no proof, just my assessment of the presented "facts" to date. But because it's not just the lone wolf theory and involves multiple people it becomes a conspiracy theory.

He would be very small time to be selling guns out of a hotel room. And he certainly wouldn’t be selling guns that could be traced back to him. Gun runners sell contraband military weapons in quantity, not a few pieces of altered civilian equipment like he owned. He was a collector and a murderous sociopath. And maybe a good argument for possession...
