There has been no new news for days about the mass shooting in Vegas. It feels like the case has already gone cold. Do you think law enforcement is keeping big news from us? I find it amazing that there is virtually no news on this story anymore.

The most frequent answer to that question has repeatedly been because the 10 or 11 minutes of gunfire had already completely *ceased*.
This meant there was time to coordinate a dispersed SWAT team out doors with the two security officers, one who remained on 32nd floor, clear hotel rooms of guests at risk, and proceed up 32 floors with elevators shut down.
It was this security guard who was shot in the leg when the shooter opened the room door and fired. The guard stayed on the floor and remained in contact with SWAT.
(One of those two security officers was on the 32nd floor nearly immediately, because the pair had seen some glass fall from the window, from there vantage point below that window, at the time of the shooting.)

I had not "heard" that before. If true, that would explain alot.
Tumor? Years ago when some guy ran off with no notice a story would circulate among the relatives that the “poor guy” had a brain tumor. Usually it was another woman out in California.

Ok - perhaps you could provide a parallel case - where the motive of the mass murderer was unknown.

I SO “get that”.
I see no good reason for FBI or local LE to even attempt to inform the public of their every strategy and method, during an ongoing investigation, especially one of this nature where supposedly this shooter’s life style for decades (reportedly) has been oddly “offline”, except for his gambling hours in hotels and casinos.
It’s as if the shooter had been plotting for years to leave mostly a blank trail, nearly as much as the massacre itself.
Talk about an *understated* life, this feat was a sign of gifted mental gymnastics, by itself, wasn’t it? I find all that very curious, myself.
How long will the investigation ongo?
Or should I ask, how long with this “matter” be looked into?

I identified as from a CNN site. News has been slow so they did a documentary. They can’t let the public get complacent. If they do they will not be able to incite enough with their anti Trump material as their audience will crawl back into, and go into hiding, to study the weight loss efforts of Mike and Molly or the intense drollness of How I Met Your Mother. CNN is frightened they will lose their fan base to even more stupidity than they can provide.
