The fluffy-eared, big-eyed felines are adorable, and they dont seem to age. They are forever kittens.
And while photos of the wild cats have been widely shared online, the cats have been surprisingly hard to find in the wild.
Until now.

Add to that, sand cats tend to live in tough wilderness, places where researchers must endure high temperatures and the occasional sandstorm.
Because the animal is so hard to track, assessing populations has been difficult, according to Mother Nature Network. The species is believed to be extinct in Israel, for example, though a litter was born at the Zoological Center of Tel Aviv in 2012.
The kittens are thought to have been between six and eight weeks old.

This story is getting old on here, but almost died in ICU from head injury 10 years ago, so they bought me a kitten lol.
Didn’t even know if i would be going home but they bought him anyway.
Five years home alone all day with the little guy.
The past five haven’t been easy but i’m working again 3 years now and my fists work again, which you never know when you’ll need :)
HATED cats before him.
Now I’d kill someone if they hurt Spaghetti intentionally. that’s the truth
And yes, I’m Italian lol. Next kitten is gonna be meatballs ;)

My lab’s name was “Umlaut”.
Yes, I’m German (grin)
I now believe again in Sandy Claws!
He DID embarrass me once at the sister in law’s house when he COWERED in the presence of their bigger cat.
I was too easy on him when he was growing up :)
Supposedly, a small critter went by and they reacted. Could be a cover-up to hide their vicinous though!
Looks German :)
Hope you had many good times with your buddy.
I had some kind of educational cards as a child and my favorite one was the sand cat. Im pretty sure I still have that card somewhere.
Hmm...Honorary Viking Kitties?
