From my Dad in Puerto Rico, 10/5/17:
"Half of Old San Juan has Power!! Not my section but good news anyway!!! No lines at gas stations! Banks are beginning to open! Yesterday Airport operated normally!!! 24/7 from now on!! 16,000 passengers left yesterday for USA! The Dam at Guajataca found to be in good shape! Will not break and kill 10,000 people as hysterical experts reported after the storm!!"
Additionally, he really enjoyed POTUS' visit and has Mad Respect for the man now. He's always stated that the US always brought in a lot of help from the start (before the hurricane even hit) and totally disagrees with the San Juan Mayor ("Miss Nasty").

I’m waiting to hear the San Juan Mayor a.k.a. Miss Nasty say that all of these things that my Dad texted about happened because SHE put pressure on Washington and the Trump Administration.

Oh and also, my Dad said that his Car Battery died and his friend in Saint Thomas shipped him a new one! His friend in St. Thomas — which is supposedly in ‘worse shape’ than San Juan.

I live in Orlando. There are enormous drives by our hospital and others, local stores and churches. We are sending many volunteer medical personnel, medicine, food, clothing and whatever else has been asked for. There have been fundraising concerts as well. Contined prayers for all in PR.
