I haven't. Do you believe in or not, and why.
There’s an old farmhouse about two miles away from me, nothing really special about it, you see virtually the same house on many small farms across the south, two story clapboard, one story porch across the front, center hall and stair landing, kitchen at the back of an ell on the back, once was a “dogtrot” between the house and the kitchen to keep the risk of fire down, since filled in to become a dining room. This one is still with the farmland that belonged with it originally. It’s been a rental since I’ve lived here, 23 years. The farmland is leased out.
I’ve met three people who lived there over the years, and they all describe the same “ghost.” These aren’t necessarily locals, because apparently the locals know about it. I’ve been here over two decades and am still not a local, yep, that kind of place, nice enough but most of the residents’ families go back centuries. OK by me, I grew up in exactly that sort of place in the next county west of here. Two had just moved here, had limited funds and appreciated being able to rent a place very affordably with so much room and all that open land around it. Sort of run down, put it that way.
Cutting to the chase, the “ghost” is an older woman. Not angry, not threatening, apparently seems sort of happy to have people in “her” house again (it sits empty quite a bit, the story gets around I guess). The first clue that she’s out and about is smelling coffee brewing, strongly, therefore she’s the coffee lady.
The property recently was acquired by a developer, the economy has finally picked up here after being in the doldrums for nearly 20 years, it’s a manufacturing region. The old place is going to be torn down. I wonder where she’ll go, will someone buy a new house and she comes with it?
I’ve got to say, I don’t believe in “ghosts” per se, not spirits of the dead wandering around, my religious beliefs tell me that this is not possible. I do, however, believe there are demonic presences, she doesn’t sound demonic.
I think we just don’t understand time very well, and for some reason it bleeds through in certain places, usually associated with violence, strong emotions. Battlefields in particular. Classic “haunted houses” with a bad vibe are demonic. This isn’t a bad vibe kind of place. Oh, plenty of people are afraid of it, but all the first hand accounts from people who managed to live there for a while are sort of... fond.
Yes, my mother did and my niece and brother did as well. With my mom, she saw my father return (at her new home well after his death). Shortly after (a few weeks or so), she fell ill and eventually passed from pancreatis. My mom’s friend feels my dad came back as a warning.
My niece and brother both saw ghosts in the house we/they were raised in (my mom and dad’s original home). I have no reason not to believe them; they were very convincing.
Very interesting. Did your mother explain the visitations, the friends, in more detail.
We dont live this way, we had recently moved in to what was a 150yo house and I had started some renovations which is what you see going on. The house is quite unusual for a number of reasons one of which is that there are two separate second floors with two separate stair cases. The door that goes up to the place we have always called Satans Attic is a secret door. Im having trouble finding all the videos right now, of the ones Ive refound so far this one is interesting. My oldest daughter is Grace. Im William. I found some...disturbing...things in an unusual crawlspace that had been made under the house when someone had decided to retroactively build stone walls and fill in a part of the basement.

This was supposedly some kind of contact with someones past memory, as in, living someone elses experience. There were some other better ones Im still looking for.
Some of the best EVP stuff like "I watch the kids" and some other things Im havent found yet. That evp supposedly happened in the next clip shortly after they came down the stairs. The interactions supposedly became a bit more frisky after this. Oddly, I found out from a local biker that he was here in my house on the night quite few years ago when a young male over dosed in the same spot that the touching event happens. Ill post more on this if I find it. Its weird, some of the "better" videos that were out here seem to have disappeared for some reason when the later re-edits were added.
One investigator wound up leaving the house and staying in the command center and wouldnt come back in after one of the encounters. Then she didnt feel comfortable out there even with my dogs. I didnt tell her that locals were claiming recent bigfoot activity. (I know! "Ghosts" and "bigfoots" all on one property!?!?!? How lucky can a guy get!)
If I find something on the portal they mention or the orbs they claim to have caught Ill post those too.
I pray for everyone I record. I have record her again, she sounds OK now.

Weird stuff started happening. Understand, I had been in this same building and in the same office for several years prior and had never noticed anything unusual. But I was working some late nights on this project and I started noticing that things just felt weird and creepy anytime I stayed after 7:00 at night, but just shrugged it off to the time of year (winter), and empty office buildings can be pretty creepy when it's dark outside.
One night, around 7:15 or so, I was working on my computer and heard some movement in the hallway that I didn't really think was anything odd...I just assumed it was a cleaning crew. Then all of a sudden, right outside my office door, I heard someone sigh, almost like they were annoyed, and then "Mutter mutter mutter..." I couldn't make out what was said, but someone was standing right outside my door, and the hair on the back of my neck just raised up. I sat there for a few seconds, staring at the open door, then I called out, "Cathy?" thinking the girl who worked in the cubicle outside my office had maybe come back for something. No answer. I jumped out of my seat and looked outside the door. No one was there. I walked up and down the hall in both directions. Not only was no one there, there was no cleaning crew. I packed up my stuff and got out of there FAST.
For the next few weeks, I was on edge, thinking I kept seeing shadows out of the corner of my eye, hearing things. One noise I kept noticing was a “fisszh-click” sound. I didn’t usually notice it until after 5:00 or so, as the building was emptying out. Every time it happened, I would stop and listen and try to figure out what it was, or go out into the hall trying to see if it was coming from the air vent or Xerox machine. One day I realized it sounded exactly like a Zippo lighter...first the flint strike and then the lid snapping shut. I would also see a shadow of someone peering into my boss’ office. His door was at a right angle to mine, and people would often come to peer in to see if he was there, so a shadow would fall across my desk. When it happened after hours when no one was around was when it would freak me out.
After several more weeks of this, I finally realized that the pile of old photos was still on top of my file cabinet. Maybe it was related to the weird goings-on? So I packed them all up, took them back to my boss and he refiled them. Over the next two months, I saw the shadow a couple more times, but eventually the activity stopped. This was also around the time that I got a new office neighbor who also worked late hours, so not sure if having another person around made me stop hearing/seeing things, or what.
I was plagued with what is now termed sleep paralysis all through my childhood and well into adulthood, haven't experienced it in the last decade or so since I came back to Christianity, though. I also had the flying dreams, and yes they could be glorious. I had my time of dabbling in things that I now know really should be left alone, one of them was lucid dreaming, Carlos Castaneda sort of stuff. You can take charge of those flying dreams. Well, it seems as if you're in control. Ultimately you're not. Fun as it sounds, avoid it. Mixing up dreams and reality, sleeping and waking, conscious and unconscious is I'm now convinced a bad thing. Go figure, huh? Who'da thunk. Seems obvious now, but not at the time.
We called it Satans Attic not because we had seen anything up there but because it had a creepy staircase and when you got to the top the room was painted in patches of clashing garish colors with some holes punched in the wall and weird graffiti like something from a serial killer movie.
ok, this page has a ghost. I was halfway down, when I got a ‘you’re not connected’ screen. Except I am connected and the page came right back on refresh, and it didn’t happen to the second computer. So......I’m outa here lol
I was surprised to see youre in Georgia. Wisconsin is the werewolf (dogmen) capital of the world. I suspect thats why we have so few bigfoots, the werewolves chase them all back out West. ;)
Im not sure what Im seeing. A girls dress dropped off a grill and drove off in your UTV before coming back and sitting in a chair?
My Christian faith does not allow me to believe in Ghosts. Yes, the apostles once said they feared Christ approaching and thought he was a ghost. That the apostles believed in ghosts does not mean they exist.
For a ghost to roam the earth, Christ must misplace a spirit and he is not capable of that. He can account for every spirit belonging to everyone living or dead. Since Christ cannot “lose” a spirit, there cannot be such things as ghosts.
I suppose there could be demons that people see or are contacted by, but it can’t be lost souls. God doesn’t lose souls. He knows right where they call are, and they aren’t free to go gallivanting around haunting people.
She was very explicit about who visited. Her Aunt and younger sister that passed before her were mentioned. She (my Mother) was very happy to be leaving.
My wife and I saw something once. I’m not sure if it was a ghost or what.
We were on our honeymoon in Antigua and were walking down the beach late one night. Down the beach a bit, we saw what looked like a woman in a flowing white gown. We didn’t think anything else at first, but the closer we got, the stranger the woman looked — almost transparent.
We got about ten feet away and the woman turned and looked at us. She just didn’t look right and my mom wife and I backed away, then turned and ran down the beach to our resort.
It was very weird. The next morning we walked back to the spot. We could see our footprints in the sand, but not the woman’s. To this day we both wonder if what we saw was a ghost or if we just had some kind of mass hallucination.
