LeBron James called Donald Trump a "bum" after the US President rescinded an invitation for Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry to go to the White House.
Trump tweeted Saturday that Curry is no longer invited to the White House because of what the president called hesitation by the two-time NBA MVP in deciding whether to make the traditional champions' trip to Washington.
That prompted an angry response from Cleveland Cavaliers star James.
James tweeted: "U bum. Stephen Curry already said he ain't going! So therefore ain't no invite. Going to White House was a great honour until you showed up!"
Trump's comment on Curry came one day after the president told NFL owners to fire players who won't stand for the national anthem.
It was not immediately clear whether Trump was rescinding the invitation for Curry or the entire team.
"Going to the White House is considered a great honour for a championship team. Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!" Trump wrote from his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
The Warriors, who hold their first practice of the season Saturday, had not made a collective decision whether to go to the White House in celebration of last season's title.
Curry has said he did not want to make such a visit.
"By acting and not going, hopefully that will inspire some change when it comes to what we tolerate in this country and what is accepted and what we turn a blind eye to," Curry said Friday at the Warriors' media day. "It's not just the act of not going. There are things you have to do on the back end to actually push that message into motion."
At a rally in Alabama on Friday night, Trump said NFL players who refused to stand for "The Star-Spangled Banner" are exhibiting a "total disrespect of our heritage." Several NFL players, starting last season with then-San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick, have either knelt, sat or raised fists during the anthem to protest police treatment of blacks and social injustice.
"That's a total disrespect of everything that we stand for," Trump said, encouraging owners to act. He added, "Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, you'd say, 'Get that son of a b**** off the field right now. Out! He's fired."
So Lebron, you are saying there is an invite ? Didn't you hear Trump say there was no invite ? ( I know, Ebonics )
Similarity between the Beltway Virus and insanity and the Hollywood psychotic identity detachment, and the Professional Sports. They all look their identity from the crowds that roared, and never knew for an instant, who THEY were..or what they believed. Fools.
I see a lot of talk.
Take a knee, LeBron. You too, Curry.
LeBum who???
If money and fame were all you needed to invite yourself into the White House, Hillary would be riding her broom around the grounds.
LeBra Jane? I love her! She’s really good a basketball... for a girl.
You know they got burned by LolBron’s whining, “You can’t uninvite him wah wah....
Um, he just did.
By your acts, you are causing a huge number of people who did not dislike you or Lebron James or any of the rest of the unstable professional blacks who are going nuts to now dislike them MORE than they could have ever disliked them before. You are NOT going to get inclusion or acceptance ever in your lifetime because of this. Also, other blacks are going to suffer collateral damage, because in many people's minds, they have the same ideas as you have.
The division will not heal and it will not get better. Beating a black man half to death will not make him like me any better. That is basically what you are trying to do. Stop before you cause irrevocable damage...or worse civil war.

Who is lebron james or is it james lebron?
He is a multimillionaire mutant with a chip on his shoulder...
I can’t believe he used the word “therefore” - he probably had help with that one.
I would bet that Trump entering the public controversy over the NFL is calculated.
His base is on his side.
His inclusion of the NBA uninvite magnifies the controversy.
I cannot believe this is accidental.
Or, as LeBron would say... “I ain’t not believin’ no invite was not pulled because of a bum.”
Is this the one they call “King James”? Yeah, King of the Sh*thouse, as the Chicago expression puts it.
All these non educated hollywood and sports people... they hate Trump... WHY? They don’t know him and they are not smart enough to research and find out who he is. They are hating a man because of what they hear. Typical of those who are literally empty suits and will stay that way.
There are a lot more of them since computers and instant communication that is on just about everywhere you go... and it’s usually CNN running. That is all the “news” they get and they make a religion out of what filters in to their ears. When you hear their hate speech, it’s right out of the media’s handbook of lies.
Just think what more we could see accomplished by our President, if the media loved him as much as they did the past loser president, obama. If the media even reported on the accomplishments Trump has done so far... if the media was even fair in their reporting... and if the republicans were not afraid to stand for something.... for the people! They all are such a weak bunch of supposedly men..
One thing for sure, the swamp showed up when the people elected a man who could! A proud bunch of patriots who saw through the rot, voted for our President!
Undoubtedly, he does the London Times crossword puzzle every morning.
Guess LeBron considered it an honor when there was a real jerk in the White House. I’d say if I had any questions about LeBron James, they were answered.
Boycott Hollywood, music AND sports.
Got it.
PING!
Oh blow it out yer arse LeBron. You’re a disgrace!
This thug will be shot, or he will shoot and kill someone in a year or so after he stops playing bounce the ball.
If he wasn’t playing basketball, he’d be in prison . . . same with most of the NBA thugs
Curry has been, as has Trump, blessed with a great family, a good education, talent in the same field as his father, and has worked hard to emulate and even exceed the personal achievements of his father.
Perhaps he has not made the personal errors as a young man that Trump may have made, but his faith should inform him on repentance, redemption and the ability to accomplish good even after those errors.
Such was the story of many great men and women throughout the history of civilization, even in the Bible.
