Bendy makes ‘nada’ from the thread, outside of entertainment value for fellow FReepers. Why you continue to militate against Bendy is beyond me.

Simple: when somebody posts the schedule of NFL games on ESPN, they are in effect, supporting the organization who are allowing the disrespect for our flag, our anthem and our country.

If we are going to get these people to reform their ways, the only way is through reducing their income through not buying tickets and not supporting their advertisers.

Supporting professional football as though nothing's wrong is not conservative. It is, in effect, supporting the unpatriotic behavior of the NFL leadership and ESPN's CEO.

Did I make it simple enough for you?

Clet, I learned a long time ago that sometimes you just cannot argue with some folk. They are right, no matter what the rhyme or reason.

Take Mein Kampf for instance. Old Hitler decided that the Jews were the root of Communism and that was fact no matter how screwy it was--

When someone disagreed with Adolf, he sent in his Storm Troopers, his completely, worthless thugs whose only job was to stifle anyone who disagreed with Hitler's absurdities.

When you reply to such falderal, you make the spread of such manure think he is the King of all that may be said and/or posted.

Boy, you got that right, Bendy-- I have to tell Edith... to stifle herself all the time!

I rest... my case.

However, do not be surprised when it will shortly be claimed... that I must be the Devil incarnate because I dare use Hitler to make a point against the so-called 'conservative' thought that any mention of the NFL on ESPN on Free Republic is an unpatriotic mortal sin for which I should be tarred, feathered and hung by the neck until both silent and dead.

It will come, but like water off a ducks' back... it will fade away without any further comment from me.

I really don’t hate Romo, but he and the Cowboys did choke a lot of playoff games.

So let me give you my picks for this week:

Rams, but the biggest loser is the NFL fans for this snorefest.
J’ville in an upset.
ATL in a close one.
Colts with their first win.
Denver
I’d really like to see Watson upset the Pats, but it’s not going to happen.
MIA, which is appropriate since the Jets offense is also MIA
Scam Newton’s cats
Iggles. Look for more of the Manning long face.
Pittsburgh.
TB. The Vikes without Sam Bradford are in trouble.
Tennessee, just because I can not pick the Seahags.
GB. Cincy has reverted to joke status again.
KC. If there is a crowd, it will be a sea of red.
Washington, only because OAK don’t travel well to the East Coast

Baltimore at Jacksonville 9:30 am YHOO Ravens are on a roll. Granted it's a roll consisting of Cleveland and Cincinnati filling but nonetheless the D is playing great. As for the Jags... Well they showed something in Week 1, and something else in Week 2. But I think the Ravens are up for this. Ravens.

Atlanta at Detroit 1:00 pm FOX A test for the Lions after they've throttled the NYG and the Cardinals. The Falcons looked virtually unstoppable against the Packers and I don't think the Lions have enough on either side of the ball to keep up with them. Falcons.

Cleveland at Indianapolis 1:00 pm CBS Someone has to win this game. Right?! Browns will get out of the loser's column and Chuck Pagano will be fired Tuesday morning. Browns.

Denver at Buffalo 1:00 pm CBS Trevor Siemian is making some in Denver say 'Peyton who?'. The Bills ain't exactly a stiff test even though they have been playing better and came within a dropped pass of beating the Panthers last week. They won't get that close this week. Broncos.

Houston at New England 1:00 pm CBS I'm not going to pick against the Patriots at home, even after the blowout against KC two weeks ago. And with a rookie QB who has not done very much.... well. Patriots.

Miami at N.Y. Jets 1:00 pm CBS Here's an automatic pick almost every week: whoever is playing the Jay-Eee-Tee-Ess, Jets, Jets, Jets, will win, win, win. Dolphins.

New Orleans at Carolina 1:00 pm FOX One thing for sure - the Saints will score more than the three points Buffalo did last week against Carolina. Will their D be able to 'contain' the anemic Panthers O? I think so. Saints.

N.Y. Giants at Philadelphia 1:00 pm FOX The G-Men's downward spiral will continue. The Eagles and Carson Wentz are an up-and-coming team. Eagles.

Pittsburgh at Chicago 1:00 pm CBS Big Ben has troubles on the road, but I don't think he'll play so poorly that the Bears have a chance here. Steelers.

Tampa Bay at Minnesota 1:00 pm FOX In Jameis we trust... And the Bucs D and no Sam Bradford. Bucs.

Seattle at Tennessee 4:05 pm FOX Seattle hasn't exactly overpowered anyone. Tennessee hasn't either. Call me crazy here. I like Teen here. Titans.

Cincinnati at Green Bay 4:25 pm CBS Are you kidding me? The Bungles are in a serious tailspin and a visit to Lambeau is not going to cure that. Packers.

Kansas City at L.A. Chargers 4:25 pm CBS Did the Chargers get a new kicker? They might well be 2 - 0 if they had a better one... That won't matter this week though as the Chiefs are going to roll them. Chiefs.

Oakland at Washington 8:30 pm NBC Oakland and Derek Carr are going to show the Redskins just how far they still have to go to be a contending team. Raiders.
