1980 is quite a while ago. My favorites from that year:
Please Don’t Go - KC and the Sunshine Band
Magic - Olivia Newton-John
Ships - Barry Manilow
Romeo’s Tune - Steve Forbert
More Love - Kim Carnes
Longer - Dan Fogelberg
Cruising - Smokey Robinson
I like softer mellower songs, so that’s what you see here. Any list will reflect what music people like. Interested to see other lists.
Ah yes, 1980, when we were young and carefree..........

“Everybody Wants Some” by Van Halen.
My favorite album was “Panorama” by the Cars.

Rapture, by Debbie Harry and Blondie.
Early Rap before it became too mean.

Tusk. Can’t hear it enough...
1980 wasn’t “my” era or the best year of the 80s IMHO but I did like everything from Blondie and met Debbie Harry once and got a signed LP. And as much as I hate to say it, once in a while I get an earworm for Funkytown by Lipps, Inc., probably the hokiest made-up POS of the decade, but darnit I like it ;-)

1980?
Any thing Rush, we wanted to play like them.
I think that was the Permanent Waves album.
We listened to whole vinyl albums....we even turned them over.
