Fake Native American Sen. Elizabeth Warren has joined other Democrat senators in calling for a ban of menthol cigarettes because they are racist.
Warren added her name to the effort led by fellow Massachusetts Sen. Edward Markey and joined by Rhode Island Sens. Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse and Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal.
In a letter to the Food and Drug Administration, the senators argued that African-Americans have the highest mortality rate of all ethnic groups due to smoking related diseases, and Menthol cigarettes pose a greater risk.
The letter, signed by the senators, cited a 2011 study done by the FDA that showed menthol cigarettes pose a public health risk above that seen with non-menthol cigarettes.
They argued that this effect is greatest in the African American community because it is a target market.
The tobacco industry has a long history of targeting menthol cigarettes to African-Americans and in particular African-American youth through strategic marketing and promotional materials, the letter read.
These actions have resulted in significant health disparities in communities of color, it said.
You forgot Land’O’Lakes butter and Aunt Jemima and Cream of Wheat.
I read a study one time that 80% of black smokers smoke menthol and 80% of white smokers smoke non-menthols.
I found that quite an astounding correlation given that was never one of the racial stereotypes I heard growing up.
Don’t forget Pepsi:

Yet it’s perfectly reasonable when the left targets blacks for abortion.
Fauxchohontas needem ban peace pipe. Peace pipe market to injuns. Heapem bad medicine.
I know that if I were running against her for the White House, I’d have a FIELD DAY with this in the black media markets:
“Squaw Hempstone wants to take away your RIGHT to choose what brand you smoke...so no this abuse of power!”
Ban fried chicken, greens and watermelon.
Who’s going to shut down the Black Caucus, BET, Miss Black USA, black universities, the NAACP?
what about collard greens, watermelon and fried chicken? I understand those are some of the staples of soul food. Shouldn’t those be banned too, Elizabeth?
Besides, why does Elizabeth want to ban things that blacks supposedly like? Isn’t that racist? She reminds me a lot of the Democrats in the Deep South in the 1920’s.
And lets not leave out WPLJ (White Port & Lemon Juice). Or Fred Sanfords favorite drink, Champipple (Champaign and Ripple)!
And Swisher Sweets, the official smoke of strongarm wannabe cop-killers everywhere
Get out of my business, Warren. I smoke menthol cigarettes because I freely choose to.
Skittles, Arizona tea and cough syrup.
>> and Injun Warren.<<
Speaking of which, time to stop alcohol sales since we KNOW Indians can’t tolerate that fire water!
Whats next, grape soda?
And cough drops?
You beat me to it.
Vegas should ban blackjack.
* More Natural Gas Pipelines for you and you fellow NE states.
* How about Fracking in Western Ma, yes their is a formation that is supposed to immature...
* How about setting up a tax environment that is conducive to keeping business in the state?
* You know like getting rid of the MA State Inheritance Tax that starts @ 1 Million, as they never went along with the 3 to 5 million upgrade Federally which is probably killing inter-generational business in MA, BUT LET THAT GO.....
As one freeper put it, if it wasn't for the influx of college students and MIT spin offs around 128, MA would be at the bottom of the pile of the 50 states...
Typical idiot liberal ruled by feelings over logic. Black smokers who prefer Menthol cigs don’t see Menthol cigs as racist. They will see discrimination, though.
Smoked Kools also very many moons ago. In those days every black person I knew who smoked, smoked Kools.
Many moons ago. ?
