CLEVELAND -- Eleven Cleveland Browns players knelt in a circle during the national anthem prior to Monday's preseason game against the New York Giants.
While the group knelt behind the Cleveland bench in front of the Gatorade buckets, several other players stood nearby and put their hands on a kneeling teammate's shoulder in support.
Those who took a knee were tight end Seth DeValve, running backs Duke Johnson Jr. and Terrence Magee, safeties Jabrill Peppers and Calvin Pryor, cornerback Jamar Taylor, receivers Kenny Britt and Ricardo Louis, linebackers Chris Kirksey and Jamie Collins, and running back Isaiah Crowell (who was not in uniform).

That is so ghey
Were they proposing to each other?
Paging Reverend Moon
I'd rather weasels rip my flesh.
I agree with your sentiments, but may I suggest we all raise the level of our discourse and refer to such unfortunate fellows as “Waste Excreting Orifices” instead of the commonly used “assholes”?
I’d fire them immediately. And most good employment contracts forbid doing anything that may harm the company or its product reputation sales or revenues.
I'm surprised to hear that one of the least successful NFL franchise in recent years is going to lead the way into a new season of boycotts and diminishing viewers.
The NFL is suborning racism. Tear ‘em down.
How long do they think they will be paid millions if nobody watches them?
Exactly, I quit watching/supporting 2 years ago.
Let them die out with the rest of the PC nonsense.
But I'm done. Thanks to last years NFL season I'm 1200 bucks richer for dropping cable TV.
Turn your radio around.
I will be boycotting again this year.
Losers.
They don’t want my money or time obviously.
Jimmy the Greek was right.
ADIOS to the NFL. I’ve had my fill with these over paid No-Load’s and their Crying Complaining Antics.
I’ll have nothing to do with the NFL......ever again.
I would rather watch Brazilian football league system games.
All of those Cleveland Championships seems to have gone to their heads.
Well, it is Cleveland. They were probably praying for a win...
If the NFL is truly a free market, then why do competing team owners work together to maximize their collective profit? Why can’t I organize a team of players to participate in their annual 16 game tournament? If I were allowed to, maybe we have 100 teams rather than approximately 30.
We’d have more players involved, more regions of the country would have a team to root for, and salaries would be more reasonable. The competition would still be good, and just as exciting. Perhaps the public doesn’t want that. Maybe we are dealing with a true natural monopoly. But if so, why aren’t they regulated like any other natural monopoly to protect the interests of the consumer (i.e. the fan) rather than the business owners and their partners, the agents/players union?
No, this was what is known as a circle jerk, not mentioned in the article is that the pivot man was kapernick.
...or their quarterback.
Either Goodell ends this crap now or the NFL season is gonna be wrecked.... they will deservedly lose millions more fans.
Screw these a-holes.
With any luck they will succeed.
