CLEVELAND -- Eleven Cleveland Browns players knelt in a circle during the national anthem prior to Monday's preseason game against the New York Giants.
While the group knelt behind the Cleveland bench in front of the Gatorade buckets, several other players stood nearby and put their hands on a kneeling teammate's shoulder in support.
Those who took a knee were tight end Seth DeValve, running backs Duke Johnson Jr. and Terrence Magee, safeties Jabrill Peppers and Calvin Pryor, cornerback Jamar Taylor, receivers Kenny Britt and Ricardo Louis, linebackers Chris Kirksey and Jamie Collins, and running back Isaiah Crowell (who was not in uniform).

That’s right! Unsportsmanlike conduct. Hit them with a fine.
Jamie Collins, a tremendous talent in a league of tremendous talent, acted up to get out of New England and was rewarded with $50 million dollars. The notion that he’d have a complaint with the USA or its National Anthem or its capitalist system is absurd. He has a specialized, narrow talent and has been rewarded for honing it. Without an American system with an NFL and capitalist specialization, he’d be doing something else. And be poor.
I hear selling crack in Chicago is a happening profession.
I guess I’ll have several TV free Sunday afternoons, evenings, Monday nights, Thursday nights.....These a-holes aught to go take the place of our military fighting for them to be a-holes.
At least they’re praying.....
I think your BOYCOTT banner would be much more effective if you reversed the blue field for red and the red cross for blue. It’ll piss `em off more.
I would say I will now stop watching the Browns, but I would have to start first.
Funny thing is I am looking forward to my Sunday afternoons being free now. I don’t miss the NFL anymore.
hahahahaha, I was thinking the same thing! Kind of like Key & Peel’s NFL skit. Too funny and they capture the “blank stares” perfectly.
Never forget. Africans think Obama ceded the country to them.
Because of two reasons
1. They are betting that the fans won’t care.
2. Many of the owners agree with the players who refuse to stand for the anthem.
Between the concussion scandal and now this, the pipeline for the NFL is getting squeezed off.

Love it.
I boycotted last year and didn’t miss it. Guess I’m now completely done with the NFL.
Attention-seeking. Just more “look at me”. Don’t worry - in a couple of years they’ll be unemployed and broke and drinking MD 20-20. They are useless if the field.
“According to a 2009 Sports Illustrated article, 78% of National Football League (NFL) players are either bankrupt or are under financial stress within two years of retirement and an estimated 60% of National Basketball Association players go bankrupt within five years after leaving their sport.

To me it’s a simple situation that applies to anyone who works for a company or organization. Keep the politics out of work. Do what you want on your free time. They are on the job. They need to act accordingly.
BOYCOTT THE NFL!
Well, something in the genes made ‘em fast. It was his stab at the theory of evolution.
September 16th
I wonder what would happen if thousands of fans actually got up and left the stadium when this cr@p is pulled.
There’s a protest I’d tune in to see.
Go Gators!
