CLEVELAND -- Eleven Cleveland Browns players knelt in a circle during the national anthem prior to Monday's preseason game against the New York Giants.
While the group knelt behind the Cleveland bench in front of the Gatorade buckets, several other players stood nearby and put their hands on a kneeling teammate's shoulder in support.
Those who took a knee were tight end Seth DeValve, running backs Duke Johnson Jr. and Terrence Magee, safeties Jabrill Peppers and Calvin Pryor, cornerback Jamar Taylor, receivers Kenny Britt and Ricardo Louis, linebackers Chris Kirksey and Jamie Collins, and running back Isaiah Crowell (who was not in uniform).

Watched a soccer game recently where a player fractured a leg.
Lost interest in football awhile ago but this just gives reason to ignore it now.
I wouldn't go that far, but he certainly got a bum deal. The man's name is almost an ethnic slur: What did they expect him to say? I don't think he went to high school. It's absurd to expect him to discuss genetic variation of Europeans vs. Africans in a scientifically and/or politically correct manner.

F-ck the Cleveland Browns and every player who disrespected the national anthem; f-ck their cuck coaches who can't instill any team discipline; and f-ck the NFL commissioner for not doing anything about this.
I definitely won't be watching any Cleveland Browns games this year, and, of course, they'll end up at the bottom of their division rankings—which they will richly deserve, at this point.
At this rate, the NFL will see yuge fan attrition again this year—probably worse than last year.
When I'm watching an entertainment product, I don't need spoiled millionaire players injecting their ignorant political views into the product. It tends to greatly detract from the whole "entertainment" thing. Furthermore, why do they insult and anger the fans—who can do precisely jack sh-t about what these dumbasses are supposedly b-tching about?
The NFL is cutting its own throat "big league", and I'll just be content to watch it bleed out. I'll avoid teams that make such shameful displays, and I'll go out of my way to avoid the advertisers who are sponsoring this hateful disrespect.
I hope the NFL and its sponsors are reading this...

When I gave up TV, I gave up watching football. I don't miss it a bit. Sorry to hear the bottom is falling out of the sport for the fans' sake.
