CLEVELAND -- Eleven Cleveland Browns players knelt in a circle during the national anthem prior to Monday's preseason game against the New York Giants.
While the group knelt behind the Cleveland bench in front of the Gatorade buckets, several other players stood nearby and put their hands on a kneeling teammate's shoulder in support.
Those who took a knee were tight end Seth DeValve, running backs Duke Johnson Jr. and Terrence Magee, safeties Jabrill Peppers and Calvin Pryor, cornerback Jamar Taylor, receivers Kenny Britt and Ricardo Louis, linebackers Chris Kirksey and Jamie Collins, and running back Isaiah Crowell (who was not in uniform).

By the way, shouldn’t they be protesting the name of their team, the Cleveland Browns” as “racist” and demanding that it be changed to the “Cleveland Criminals”? More appropriate for that city.

I'll go ya one better. I don't like the word "banning" as it applies to this forum. If a NFL thread appears when the games begin, just type a message with an "X" only on it and post it. All that white space around the hundreds of "X" posts would send a clear message...and drive the NFL anti-American thug-supporters crazy.

John Mara has been getting letters in the mail from season ticket holders saying that they will never go to another Giants game if one of his players kneels.
The last thing he wants is one of his players kneeling.
I wish the fans would just leave the stadium when that happens, and fans at home would turn the channel. They should also ask for their money back.
The NFL is dead to me.
As much as I dislike Jerry Jones, he has told his players if they
kneel, they will be cut.
So if all comes down from owners and management.
