Celebrity chefs are everywhere. They host reality TV shows, judge cooking competitions, publish cookbooks, and open their own restaurants. Along the way, many of them ruffle a few feathers. Many celebrity chefs are genuinely talented. But some have polarizing personalities. Some have boring shows and lackluster recipes. And others are, plain and simple, badly overrated. Read on to check out the celebrity chefs everybody sometimes including their fellow chefs loves to hate.More
From bleached hair to bowling shirts, Guy Fieri is, without a doubt, one of the most hated celebrity chefs of all time. But what exactly is it that causes droves of people to disdain the seemingly happy-go-lucky guy in the first place? From his brash personality to his lackluster restaurant in NYC, reviews of Fieri fall flat. Here are 14 reasons why this chef is nothing but a culinary catastrophe.More
Guy never actually cooks, so why hate on him?
Kick them all up a notch...
FU, Jess Bolluyt.
I like Guy Fieri, even though we would never be friends, because he is such a simple, open, happy soul.
Further, he’s had some great recipes on his show.
Some years ago, when they ruined the highly popular japanese show Iron Chef by first adding subtitles then fully anglicizing it, Flay won the contest and stood on his cutting board and everyone gasped at his arrogance.
Guy’s Grocery Games is our favorite.
Also like Damaris Phillips.

Only thing good about Iron Chef was that Cat Cora chick, then I found she was a lesbo. What a waste.
I find it amusing that both articles quote a failing web site, Salon, like it is some kind of cultural arbiter of great repute that we should all read and heed. I’ve watched many of the chefs featured in the article while avoiding others that are too obnoxious for my taste.
I’ve been to a Bobby Flay restaurant in Vegas and enjoyed the experience. I seek out Guy Fieri’s “Triple D” featured local places and had mixed experiences. Ree Drummond’s new restaurant/mercantile endeavor is a little over an hour away from my house so I’ve been there once. I’ve used various celebrity chef recipes to some level of success. In all of that, I’ve had experiences and learning that would have otherwise passed me by. I’ll call that a personal win.
Flay seems to have only one facial expression, that being a blank one.
Not surprising that Paula Deen is still being listed as no.1 Most Hated Cook. That was years ago. Paula has moved on.
Of course it’s easier now, with The Kenyan and his ‘Bride’ out of direct power.
Rumor is, all this started when Paula remarked about the Obamas visiting her kitchen studio. She said “Michelle ate more food than any other guest she’d ever had before!”
That’s when Paula’s TV career hit that big ol’ iceberg and almost sank completely.
Not the first time this happened.
remember Dr. Drew Pinsky?
He lost his TV show after he questioned candidate Clinton’s proposed Healthcare. You think she cares about his livelihood?
FU Jeffrey Zakaian and Michael Simon.....Two POS Trump haters.....B rated Iron Chefs.....
Ya, but Cat Cora is now divorced and waiting...for you.
That guy get's my vote for being the cook who is guaranteed to ruin a good meal with a side of major heartburn.
Not familiar with those two, but upon your recommendation, I will try to avoid them.
This whole “celebrity chef” business is really getting to be a bore.
When I was a youngster, I loved to watch Julia Child and “The Galloping Gourmet” Graham Kerr. I think you could say about both of them that they took cooking seriously, but weren’t terribly serious about themselves.
Fieri would be OK if he got a normal haircut. Chef Emeril is definitely OK, in part because he’s anything but pompous — I just love how the audience gives him an extra round of applause whenever he puts in the garlic.
I would have thought G. Ramsey closer to most hated. After all, he does scream and shout more than anyone. And poor Giada. She got tanked on two glasses of wine during a live Thanksgiving Show a couple years ago and nearly caused poor Ina Garten to faint!
“Only thing good about Iron Chef was that Cat Cora chick, then I found she was a lesbo. What a waste.”
Umm...it was pretty obvious.
I remember being screamed and yelled at way worse than the DI's or Parris Island yelled at me. It was good preparation for the Marine Corps, let me tell you.
Bobby Flay’s character is a New York character. There is a lot of acting there. I always found him to be a professional wrestling type. He plays Bobby Flay on TV
