Bobby Flay tops my list.

Guy never actually cooks, so why hate on him?

FU, Jess Bolluyt.

I like Guy Fieri, even though we would never be friends, because he is such a simple, open, happy soul.

Further, he’s had some great recipes on his show.

I find it amusing that both articles quote a failing web site, Salon, like it is some kind of cultural arbiter of great repute that we should all read and heed. I’ve watched many of the chefs featured in the article while avoiding others that are too obnoxious for my taste.

I’ve been to a Bobby Flay restaurant in Vegas and enjoyed the experience. I seek out Guy Fieri’s “Triple D” featured local places and had mixed experiences. Ree Drummond’s new restaurant/mercantile endeavor is a little over an hour away from my house so I’ve been there once. I’ve used various celebrity chef recipes to some level of success. In all of that, I’ve had experiences and learning that would have otherwise passed me by. I’ll call that a personal win.

Iron Chef Hiroyuki Sakai is my favorite TV chef. His cooking and artistic talent made his Iron Chef competitions very entertaining. The Iron Chef Japanese shows are on Youtube.

I have only watched one episode of that Hell's kitchen or whatever it is called.

That guy get's my vote for being the cook who is guaranteed to ruin a good meal with a side of major heartburn.

I would have thought G. Ramsey closer to most hated. After all, he does scream and shout more than anyone. And poor Giada. She got tanked on two glasses of wine during a live Thanksgiving Show a couple years ago and nearly caused poor Ina Garten to faint!

Enjoy Free Drummond when at first I did not care for her. She puts me in a calm mood & most of her food looks delicious. Guy,I’ve him or hate him he is the biggest ambassador for small local restaurants. Triple D is a great show. I liked Ina until someone brought up her makes wish blow off. Jeffrey, her husband, is seriously annoying & pompous.

Anyone remember Justin Wilson - the cajun chef? Cay-Anne pepper!! Loved his show. And The Frugal Gourmet - Jeff Smith - until we found out the truth about him. Still have one of his cookbooks.

I like Guy. He seems like a guy I'd like to knock down burgers and brews with. Plus, when on the road it's fun to track down a joint he has plugged. Found a fantastic Mexican place in a strip mall in Phoenix that way.

So what he's not a gourmet chef from New York?

On my bucket list....one long cross-country jaunt to visit every single diner, dive & drive-in ever reviewed by Guy Fieri.

I’m saving any that are drive-thru restaurants until the very end because, at that point, I won’t be able to roll out of the Suburban.

Gotta say, these “celebrity chef” shows and their “stars” are almost always boring and pretentious. The only two shows in that genre I even tolerated were Fieri’s “Diners, Dives and Drive-Ins” and Adam Richman’s “Man vs. Food”.

Why these two shows? They took us to real American places and showed us what real Americans eat. Were Adam and Guy over the top? Of course, that’s the way of American TV in the 21st Century. Deep down, however, they gave a voice to the mom and pop places where I’d want to sit down and have a nice meal without taking out a mortgage!

Sorry, but these “Continental” restaurants that are just a license to rip off the public don’t make it for me. Neither do these “sophisticated” recipes that require tens of ingredients and take hours to prepare.

I know two things about Fieri, his show is fun to watch and makes me want to visit that restaurant if I'm ever in the area. I also know his food sucks.

Bobby Flay is a tool and should be #3 on the list. Rachel Ray is a sad excuse for a human and comes in at #2. The biggest celebrity chef jerk, imho, is Anthony Bourdain. Nothing like an abusive alcoholic celebrity with an Grand Canyon sized ego. It's just food.

I like Guy Fieri he has his certain flair and shtick. I find his show and others like it both entertaining and educational on the culinary side. For a more toned down master at work in the kitchen my guy is Jacque Pepin. He’s like a conductor of an orchestra chef knowing and directing exactly what he wants and when he wants it. He’s a good family man too.

Paula Deen is still going strong.

She knows how to market herself.

Red Drummond is only hated by SJW. Her recipes are spot on and represent the meat and potatoes middle portion of the country

For the most part, the Food Network is strictly for entertainment purposes only. There are gems at times with cooking and spots to eat but the “entertaining Chefs” are mostly narcissistic libtards. Any Conservative is long kicked out or has to stay in the closet. I know politics and food should not mix but many of these a-holes openly hate quite a few Americans who do not happen to haul the party line in show business let alone in their closed 1% societal view.
