An enormous spider has given a couple an almighty fright as it appeared on their glass door as they were trying to cook food. Lauren Ansell from Mount Coolum in Queensland posted a photo of a monster huntsman spider nicknamed 'Aragog' that appeared on the outside of the window where her partner was attempting to cook dinner. Ms Ansell said the spider appeared harmless, but did not take kindly after the pair attempted to move it from the glass.

I tend to like spiders, and I leave them alone including black widows. Have you ever seen a fight to the death between a black widdow and a bumble bee? It’s fascinating up close and personal!

However, a spider as large as that one on the door...not sure I could handle having those around unless they are poisonous snakes.

Don’t know if the frquencies above my hearing range messed with the bats navigation but the audible ramge was pretty damn loud. Would have been a great selfie video... big hulky guy, tennis racket in one hand, belt sander in the other trying to herd the bat to the open window...field expedient anti-sonar, sound chaff on the spur of the moment... What can I say? It worked

I try not to kill spiders or snakes unless absolutely necessary as they are incredibly helpful.
A King Snake in your yard or garden is like having a 24/7 critter-getter.

I free range a few spiders in our house and we never have any other bugs but that thing is frightening. :-)
