Time for a trip to Goodwill. Last week I got a working Bose Wave radio/CD player for $10.00. Big sound from a little box.
I bought a Kenwood system from Costco about 1994 and it had what they called at the time artificial intelligence on the CD player. When you put the disc in it would scan the entire disc and automatically adjust the equalizer for each song. It was pretty to cool.
To answer both your posts
1. Walmart unlike Sam’s Club does not require membership, and has a robust online presence not just brick and mortar.
2. If you are happy with Best Buy that’s great, just keep in mind that the Geek Squad guys have a history of pillaging information and images from computers they work on.
Try eBay. You can find anything you want in the home stereo genre on that site. Good prices and decent quality if you do your research and shop right.
Oh yes, that has been driving me nuts too.
Have a 2012 Kia and the AM radio is absolute garbage.
Upsetting as Rush Limbaugh is only on AM here, and on
a station with a very marginal signal.
Bluetooth speaker.
You are welcome
It was cute [he was so sincere] and I couldn't convince him otherwise. :) I mean really ....you can hardly tell the difference...
Your 'Tang is very nice; I had one like it but the floor of the trunk rotted completely through due to salt corrosion from winter roads in New England. :(
Re: 51
The cover can’t be closed while playing a LP.
Noticed they are trying to get paying subscribers now.
If they go under, AM radio stations will develop their own streaming apps. Local station I listen to already has one.
Love it.
Total score!
Problem was the first sentence of the second sentence. You went to Best Buy. BB stinks, they never have what you’re looking for, forget they exist much like how they’ve forgotten useful products exist.
I’m a Marantz 4400 guy myself, but my brother from another mother has a Sansui 9090.
With 4 Klipsch Heresy speakers I get good results. Slowly digitizing my vinyl and reel to reel tapes.
Love the vintage stuff.
As I recall, a rag and a can of Lemon Pledge did actually make the fake wood sides on those ‘70s - ‘80s vehicles look better. The neighbors had a ‘72 Country Squire and almost every weekend, you could catch that lemony scent in the air. :-) That was a bit before Armor-All hit the market.
Yep .... I have used Pledge, with good success. :)
I was thinking of having factiod cards made up....to give to people who have so many curious questions.
And charging the folks who want their picture taken next to the car. :) This whole thing has been a trip.
