lost 1998-2001 history. Oh, well...

It's worth a shot to ask Jim if that data is retrievable, and whether it can be linked to your new handle.

Can't hurt to ask.

I have a background in geology. The Alma King is a huge crystal of the mineral rhodochrosite. It is currently in the Denver Museum.

People ask me if I’m the Alma King they knew in high school. They also assume I’m a woman, even black.

“Awesome choice! Everyone loves a pirate. The original rebels.”

They were also very democratic - they all had an equal share in voting, and would vote whenever a circumstance arose. Where to sail next, who to attack, where to rest over, etc.

Tiana was a loner most of the time. Nearly all of her adventures were land based too. She battled evil supernatural creatures and the such. Very different than your regular Pirate adventures, or Pirate. https://www.amazon.com/Demon-Mirror-Wizards-Trilogy-Book/dp/0671817205

Wonderful thread, Windflier! I’ve read every comment and had a great time doing so. Thanks, very much.

My handle is short! I’m dreadfully impatient, (I am a Sooner after all) always in a hurry and needed something short! (I don’t even reply to long handles, with a bunch of capital letters and underscores.)

“RitaOK” fills the bill for a short handle, and remembers the beautiful actress, Rita Hayworth. Oklahoma is my family’s home and history, as well as my Oklahoma Sooners.

TEXAS is 30 years home now.

My son started taking karaget lessons at teh age of 5.5. He stayed with it until the business of high school; obtaining a econd degree black belt in Tang Soo Do. I joined him the last three years into I fell and severely injured my shoulder; which by the way, still hurts after 15 years. Shouting, “Tang Soo” with the proper stance and double-fisted salute was the proper greeting/salutation upon entering or leaving the classroom, so I thought it was a proper way of greeting FR. To be honest, I’ve wanted to change it over the years, but didn’t want to lose my FR history.

I'd change it but BilltheDrill is already on hundreds of "ignore this jackass" lists and I wouldn't want to inconvenience them.

As, go ahead and do it, just to screw with their heads ;-)

Best I remember, there wasn’t anything Democratic about this pirate in the least. She was very much ‘in charge’ and if anyone questioned her she would do away with them quickly. She never put her fate or direction in anyone else’s hands.

I’m the only person I’ve ever known who could sit and eat a whole can of black olives. When I was a kid, my mom would once in a while buy a little can and let me devour the whole thing.

I still love ‘em, but don’t really crave them like I used to.

I’m an FSU fan from Houston.

But you hang your hat in DFW. Man, you're all over the map.

You’re my brother from another mother, LOL.

I also like those huge round black Greek ones as well. They are known as Black Manmouth.

Greece has still not recovered from last year’s mold attack on their olive orchards. They aren’t shipping too many olives to the U.S. yet.

I don’t have as strong a craving for them as I did in my youth either. Funny, that.

K.
