An Australian woman who was living in Minnesota and engaged to be married next month was shot dead by police after she called 911 to report a disturbance behind her house.

Three sources with knowledge of the incident said that when they arrived, the officers pulled around back and were immediately confronted by Damond, who was in her pajamas.
As she attempted to speak to the cop in the drivers seat, the other officer apparently unholstered his gun and started blasting striking her through the drivers side door, the sources said.

I’ll wait for further details but I won’t be surprised if this woman was killed by a cop who SHOULD NOT BE A COP.
That’s unreal. I’m so sorry for that woman, her family and her soon-to-be family.
No body cams and no dashcams? How convenient.
As somebody said about the other incident. Don’t call the police to your home for anything you wouldn’t mind being shot at for.
She should gave got a dog so the cops would have something else to shoot at.
Sad but true.
Someone once posted here that there’s no situation that can’t be made worse by adding a cop.
Waiting for further details is wise. If the passenger officer’s round went through the driver’s door, he’d have had to shoot across his partner. It’s hard to conceive of a circumstance where that’d happen. On the other hand, a round from some third party that passed through her and hit the door would fit that description perfectly.
So, the cop in the passenger seat shot past the cop in the driver’s seat and through the driver’s side door? What did the cop think it saw that was worth taking such a shot? First of all, the one cop nearly killed the other as its gun must have been practically in the other’s lap. Second, both were rendered nearly deaf by the first shot. How many shots were there? Was it a single negligent discharge because someone had their finger on the trigger? Wait, was the passenger cop a woman?

Folks, there is more to this.
How can we on Free Republic rail against fake news levied against Donald Trump but believe this to be gospel?
So many questions to be answered yet.
Who said anything about Donald Trump?
Has he already spoken with the Aussie PM again? Has it already been leaked?
You are missing the point, pig killer.
Australian lives matter.
With the ubiquity now of dash and body cameras it becomes significant when they are turned off.
She's the one who called the cops. She was in her pajamas. Now weapon was found. The cop blasted her through the door of the police car. Unless these allegations turn out to be "fake news" it's kind hard not to believe the cops were at fault here.
