I’ll wait for further details but I won’t be surprised if this woman was killed by a cop who SHOULD NOT BE A COP.
That’s unreal. I’m so sorry for that woman, her family and her soon-to-be family.
No body cams and no dashcams? How convenient.
She should gave got a dog so the cops would have something else to shoot at.
Someone once posted here that there’s no situation that can’t be made worse by adding a cop.
So, the cop in the passenger seat shot past the cop in the driver’s seat and through the driver’s side door? What did the cop think it saw that was worth taking such a shot? First of all, the one cop nearly killed the other as its gun must have been practically in the other’s lap. Second, both were rendered nearly deaf by the first shot. How many shots were there? Was it a single negligent discharge because someone had their finger on the trigger? Wait, was the passenger cop a woman?
Folks, there is more to this.
How can we on Free Republic rail against fake news levied against Donald Trump but believe this to be gospel?
So many questions to be answered yet.
The local paper’s article: http://www.startribune.com/woman-killed-in-officer-involved-shooting-in-south-minneapolis/434782213/#1
The only thing that might even come close to cause such a response is if she was grabbing for the driver officer’s sidearm. Even that is marginal. Way too little information so far.
A cop can gun you down in broad daylight for no reason at all and will 99.9% of the time face no significant consequences for his action.
My immediate suspicion is female cop. They’re going to claim negligent discharge. Whoever it is, remove that person from the police force.
Convenient. The cops are following Hillary protocols. Delete all incriminating evidence.
Possibilities, in no particular order of probability:
1. Bad/stupid/jumpy/dumb cop.
2. Crazy/drunk/stoned/stupid victim.
3. Unknown third party.
4. Aliens. Zeta Reticuli, not Tijuana.
Murder.
I read this story and realized that there are key components missing.
I have no opinion about any of the actors in this story until some key questions are answered. It is best to avoid jumping to conclusions on something like that.
Also, when a story makes no sense (like this one does), often, once you get all the facts you realize that the “crazy” actions of one person either were appropriate - or never happened.
I’m guessing the cops didn’t see her and were startled when she stuck her head in the window, or as she was talking to them, the passenger cop had an unintentional discharge. That would be a bizzare shot for the passenger to take right across his partner.
“apparently unholstered his gun and started blasting”
“apparently” = They really don’t know shite.
“unholstered” = They are likely correct here as cops usually (/s) don’t fire their guns while still in their holsters.
“his” = meaning it was a male cop (actually, not these days)
“started blasting” = hyperbole. Again, they really don’t know shite.
