I don’t know. I neither make nor enforce the rules. I just try to avoid breaking them.
Have you tried logging in under your old name and password?
Unless it was purged, it possibly still works.
The rules are flexible. I once observed, real time, a poster frantically confessing that he was on his third screen-name/account. (He thought he was about to be banned.) He detailed his previous two identities, and spelled out exactly what he’d done to earn his banishments. It was like watching one of those old Perry Mason shows, where all of a sudden the perp cracks and loudly confesses everything.
This person is still on FR, posting under the rubric of his second retread. Perhaps that full and detailed confession warmed the hearts of TPTB. Something must have; it really did look like it was curtains, but the [third] zot never came.
The site owner has always been generous about giving second and third chances to folks that are contrite - certainly he is a bit more forgiving than I would sometimes be.
Okay, I remembered my old name, but the password escaped me. The email address that I used was no longer valid, so there was no way for FR to send a password reset to me.
I was too young to recall the trauma, but Dad told me that pinking shears were involved.
