Two people were arrested after a traffic stop in New Stanton yielded 7,500 stamp bags of suspected heroin.
Jose Miguel Garabito Montilla and Frankely Alonzo Ramos Castanos were charged in connection with the incident. The suspects have addresses in Philadelphia, but police said they're in the country illegally from the Dominican Republic.
The men were pulled over on the Interstate 76 off-ramp at Interstate 70 for failing to turn on the vehicle’s headlights in a construction zone.
According to police documents, “Multiple indicators of criminal activity were observed during the traffic stop.” Police gave Castanos a consent request written in Spanish to search the vehicle, which he read, acknowledged and signed.
Greensburg's K-9 unit got a hit on the trunk, where police said they found a cardboard box with the suspected drugs.
Investigators said they believe the drugs were going to be delivered in Westmoreland County.

And if I was brought to trial I would have lied my a$$ off on the witness stand...and would have slept like a baby after having done *that* too.
I've entered various foreign countries on a number of occasions and to the best of my knowledge I've never violated a host country's law to any extent greater than littering and jaywalking.
To quote one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite films (Breaker Morant) a British officer,when questioned by a subordinate officer regarding harsh tactics toward the enemy replied "this is a guerrilla war,not a Debutant's' Ball".
Funny...in recent years I've had several major procedures done on my hips and,coincidentally,am scheduled for a hip replacement in a couple of weeks.
After each of the past procedures the narcotics I was prescribed didn't even come close to killing me.
And I fully expect to survive the narcotics I'm likely to be given after my upcoming surgery.

Basically sums up my attitude. I would though look both ways before crossing such a street. Following such a decision I’d be reminded of another line from Breaker Morant; “never miss a slice from a cut loaf”. And in some near term that pretty much sums up the extra-judicial task.
Illegal immigrants have no stake in the culture they invade. (And, yes, they are invaders.) They hold the legal residents and the legal resident’s culture in distain. So, why not bring in poison if somebody is willing to make them rich to do it?
While only a small portion of the legal residents are willing to engage in illegal activities, a much, much higher percentage of illegals are ready and willing to do so. They are, after all, already illegal. Why not, then?
Well surprise, surprise, surprise, illegals committing a crime. Who would ever believed it possible?
Make each of them eat 100 stamped bags.
This is the county where I live. It’s just southeast of Pittsburgh. This area has the lowest percentage of Latinos of almost any metropolitan area in the country. (2% or less) The drug problem around here is horrible! The county morgue and coroner are overwhelmed! The New Stanton interchange of the PA Turnpike is undergoing lots of construction. They’re putting in a roundabout. It anyone has ever driven through a roundabout, you know it confuses the hell out of most people. Traffic violations in construction zones double the fines. Yeah, they’re catching a lot of perps here. Our local newspaper is the Greensburg Tribune-Review, whose original publisher was Richard Mellon-Scaife. (of the vast right-wing conspiracy fame) The Pittsburgh area was built on immigrants. Legal immigrants. We’re not afraid to call out the illegal ones.
No heroin Frank heroin.

Little known fact:It is estimated by a source in the NYPD that at least half of the Dominicans (from the Dominican Republic)in NYC are illegal.
New Stanton mayor should expect a call soon from the sanctuary mayor... let my people go!
And the Dominican Republic itself is being overrun with illegal immigrants from Haiti. Guess it all depends on your perspective.
Oh there only here to make a better life for them self.
