After 4 Special Election Losses, Panic Is Setting In On The Left

Jon Ossoff’s loss in Georgia’s Sixth Congressional election on Tuesday isn’t just a disappointment for liberals. It’s a bright red warning sign, a blaring siren that should alert Democrats everywhere that they will not take back Congress without a radical change in direction.

It looked to some like the party could retake at least one branch in Congress in 2018 just by staying the course. “I don’t think Democrats want a new direction,” House Minority Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said on CBS Face the Nation the week after the election.

But since then, Democrats have lost four straight special elections in races for Congress. Top party leaders are defending those losses as representing improvements on the party's baseline. But they at least to appear to suggest that winning the House will be harder than it first seemed. And panic is beginning to seep in.

Pelosi is too toxic, Rep. Filemon Vela of Texas, first elected to Congress in 2012, told Vox on Wednesday.

“To me it’s real simple: The perception of leader Pelosi is so negative that we are not going to be able to walk away from that,” Vela said. “In order to take the House majority back you have to be able to win swing districts ... the perceptions of the leader are so entrenched, they’re not going to change, and the Republican Party is going to continue to spend millions and millions of dollars to tie the leader, who is very unpopular, to those areas.”

Be forewarned: they will not go gently into the night. That is when the real fun will begin.

I think the fun has already begun, at least on the left. Look at all the violence leftists have thus far committed against ordinary Americans, both during, and after the presidential election.

For what it's worth, I think that violence will be short lived, though we may not have seen the worst of it yet.

If the Dems lose even more seats in the mid terms, I expect their basic survival instincts to finally kick in, as they stare at the very real possibility of becoming extinct as a political party.

At that point, I predict they'll suddenly change their vitriolic tune, and begin tacking hard toward the center. They'll attempt to shut down, or eject the more radical members of their party, in a bid for simple survival. Who knows if they'll succeed. The kook left pretty much dominates the Dem party today.

Could be a battle royale. Be great entertainment, though.

Why would a Christian or a conservative think it was even remotely reasonable to enroll their child(ren) in a government school, which largely promotes the modern D agenda?

I don’t know if a tiger will so easily change its spots. It looks like Obamas retirement from politics was shortlived. He will be campaigning for the democrat in Virginia’s governors race. Obama will be very active in things to come and he will not allow any tack to the center. We shall see.

The problem with doubling your bet 25 times is you end up risking your life savings to win $5

And that is about what is taking place with regard to the Democrat party.

They have lost hundreds of offices if not just over 1000 so far.

The only reason they are still afloat is folks like Soros and company will bankroll them as long as it harms our nation.

That's actually really good news. Nearly every candidate he's ever endorsed or campaigned for, has lost. Dude has a reverse Mida's Touch.

We can hope. They want to keep that fraud machine in Virginia.
