Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said Tuesday that the Star Wars spinoff is parting ways with directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller due to different creative visions on the film.
...
Lord and Miller had been filming the untitled project in London since January 2017 with stars Alden Ehrenreich as the young Han Solo and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian. The supporting cast includes Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke and Thandie Newton.
Unfortunately, our vision and process werent aligned with our partners on this project. We normally arent fans of the phrase creative differences but for once this cliché is true, the directors said in a joint statement Tuesday. We are really proud of the amazing and world-class work of our cast and crew.
... Anticipation was high for what they would do with the Han Solo film, which was written by Star Wars vet Lawrence Kasdan and his son Jon Kasdan.
...
Lucasfilm has had issues with directors before. In 2015 the company parted ways with director Josh Trank, who had been working on another Star Wars anthology film. They have yet to slate a replacement director.

Good Lord, let it die already. Next thing you know they’ll be making movies from comic books.
They already made a Han Solo spinoff. They called it Firefly.
I am waiting for the Greedo spinoff.
I want to see a spinoff about the band in the Cantina. I’ll bet they experience all sorts of weird and interesting stuff in their travels to gig after gig.

Now that would be great! The Blues Brothers in space.
Wrong galaxy.
We can see Roadies in Space!
If you get the chance, watch the film "Jodorowsky's Dune"
A fascinating film that answers a great many questions.
Han will be trans and played by Rosie O’Donnell?
Wasn't far far enough away?
I’m a huge scifi fan, and I’ve been done with the disney social justice warrior star wars. Gotta have the empowered womyn who can. eat any man, gotta have wiseblack, a few chinamen so the movie can play in communist China, and of course an evil white man or two. Han solo looks like a stinker, so I’m afraid the gang at disney won’t be getting my hard-earned shekels on this one
That should be their next animated series. I wish I knew the right people so you could pitch it, because it would be awesome.
So were the snowflake directors making the movie too LBGTQRSTUV or did Disney want it more in-yourface-clusive?
George Peppard in “Battle Beyond The Stars”.
Bradley Manning
In his breakout role
As Young Han Solo
