He was doing this before his son died.
And, you’ll get your wish, viz. another rapist goes free. Lemme guess. You’re fond of bill klinton too?
He won’t get by with this. He’s exposed now, reputation shot.
I’m livid, seeing that smarmy smile, but glad his rotten story is out there finally, after 50 years.
He is probably guilty but if you can’t make it stick why have the trial? There was a serious lack of professionalism.
I didn't follow the trial closely but I recall a report that the defense presented evidence indicating that the woman claiming to have been violated maintained friendly contact with Cosby for some time after the alleged violation.
If the evidence presented is credible (in writing...on tape...in photographs, etc) that goes a long way toward completely discrediting her claim.
I'm still gazing at the Cosby hung jury declaration, gimme a break, LOL.
My crystal ball was right on the ball on this deadlock outcome.
What I see today in the Cosby case is the DA throwing out that "new trial" statement as bait for a plea agreement from the defendant's team.
I then see a plea offered by Cosby's legal tean thusly....no new trial, no admission of guilt by Cosby (perhaps through a "no contest" plea), some substantial kind of fine or money settlement.....plus house confinement for the comedian for X amount of time (months/years) with an electronic ankle bracelet-type gizmo for doctors' visits, etc.
Actually, the defense is holding all the cards. This was a BIG win today.
Keep in mind that the prison system (and the taxpayers) doesn't want the risk and expense of an eighty-ish, ailing, half-blind, half-lame old geezer confined in an eight-by-ten prison cell with hard cot for hard time, nor will it want him being thrown into the unsafe environs of a prison population which may be hostile to him in the yard or wherever.
The State also doesn't want the enormous expense of a new lengthy trial. Depending on how the hung jury was split, it may reveal that a brand new trial would likely result in a "not-guilty" verdict..... or would result in ANOTHER hung jury.
So, the plaintiff's mouthpiece, Gloria All-red, can spout all she wants....she might get a future cut or two or more of settlements in some of her client's civil cases against Cosby, but even that is not assured. Her demeanor was not too happy in her mouthy post-verdict statement in front of the cameras. My take is she secretly would like to be OUT of this "new trial" possibility, and would like to move on. Things don't bode well for her.
As for the Georgia election, I will consult my tea leaves instead of my crystal ball this time to see what will happen in that race...and I'll ping you if I see a prophecy.....or if I see just a lot of wet, mushy leaves (which will mean "too close to call"), LOL.

Which was the reason charges weren’t filed many years ago when this first came forward.
Thanks for the prediction ping, Leni.
My prediction is the democrat winning by a small margin. The money pouring in from outside will be very difficult to overcome.
But do not pay too much weight to the result. Either party can win any one targeted seat by pouring in record amount of money for a congressional seat.
Where it mattered, democrats have lost all the previous elections this year for congressional seats.
Yes and yes. Having sex with a heavily drugged woman is as close to necrophilia as it gets.
I'd LOVE to see the Prez himself come in, but if wishes were horses....well, I'd be saddle-sore.
I'm sure the President cut robo-calls for her and is doing what he can within his time limits to help her out.

Hmmm...I didn't know that.I wonder if the decision not to prosecute was the decision of a prosecutor who decided that that evidence called into question the "victim's" claims or if it was the "victim" herself who decided not to pursue the issue.
