It also takes a LOT longer for the old body to get back in the swing.
I had a hernia repair in my early 20’s, and was back to normal within 3 weeks. I was playing darts 3 days after the surgery.
In my 50’s, I had the same thing done on the other side. I was bedridden for over a week, and couldn’t work for a couple of months!

Hopefully it was before it actually burst. My appendix went bad and I had to have it removed but it hadnt burst yet, so the recovery time was relatively short. In 1942, my grandfather (his son, my future dad, was 6 years old at the time) came down with abdominal discomfort, saw the town doctor, and was diagnosed with indigestion and sent home. He was about 32 at the time.
In reality his appendix had ruptured.
He was dead within 48 hours.
Obvious malpractice on the part of the doctor, but back in those days, I guess it was the kind of thing that didn't generally result in a huge lawsuit...

I had to turn her off.. She is especially annoying and dumb when it's just her hosting.
Praying for Tucker's speedy recovery.

I hope he remembered to ask the Ronald Reagan pre-op question regarding the political leanings of the surgical team!

Oh’ come on...
She did pretty good for Dana,
Normally the bile starts raising when she opens her yap, but she did OK tonight.
Only one reference to her boyfriend Jasper.

Prayers for Tucker. Glad it was just his appendix, and that he had immediate help. Tucker is a keeper. We need him back.
With appendicitis — years ago when you saw a doc for the pain -—if the pain subsided, you were sent home, but it sometimes meant the appendix had ruptured. Terrible infections resulted as the appendix is not part of a clean organ. Glad Tucker saw someone right away.

An hour of PeRINO would be enough to put me in the room next to Tucker. Rather watch MSLSD.

Re: Chemistry
Our son-in-law is a Ph. D. chemist, head of research into antibiotics for a Big Pharma company.
I could follow him in discussions for about 30 seconds... so I got “Chemistry for Dummies,” and now he wonders how I got so “smart” so quickly!
It’s my secret!
