There was plenty of hate expressed here on FR but I know what you mean. It was orders of magnitude less. One measure is the level of profanity on both sides. We cuss here on our side but again orders of magnitude less. What all this reveals is the totalitarian core of the left. If you read about life in the old Soviet Union you found that politics permeated everything in life to an extent completely foreign to us here. Our leftists want to recreate that politics is everything world that was the old Soviet Union.
Can you insist on making that break in character the first subject of any future conversation until you have a resolution? I'm not saying to be mean, just insistent about making him either own what he said or reconsider, before you concede that that subject can pass in favor of other things?
