FULL TITLE: Horrifying moment cops 'surround innocent man who just crawled from a burning car and kick him in the HEAD'
Shocking video has emerged of New Jersey cops approaching a man as he crawls from a burning vehicle and proceeding to kick him in the head and neck.
The footage, filmed on Sunday in Jersey City, shows the victim engulfed in flames, dragged into the road and assaulted. And officials say that he was a bystander, not the fleeing suspect who crashed into him, nj.com reported.
'Our investigators have reviewed the video and we believe with certainty that this man is the bystander from West New York who suffered burns, not Leo Pinkston, the individual pursued by police,' Hudson County prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

What would you expect from a cop union? The cop is NEVER at fault.
There was a time in this nation, before video, when many cops, mostly city, routinely beat the tar out of anyone who broke laws or gave sass. Further, it was expected and even encouraged.
There are still vestiges of that “wooden shampoo” mentality, again mostly in the cities.
Not saying it is acceptable, but city cops see the worst in society. Cities also have a tendency to recruit from within their own borders and thereby adopt some of those who have no compunctions about getting little old school justice.
Video and the FBI/DOJ have stopped most, but there are those who will still engage in this punitive practice.
We have always needed officers who could tamp down their desires to kick someone to sleep, despite what they have done.
I fear with the Ferguson effect, the chances of finding those caliber officers are fleeting.
I wonder what this official's screen name is on FR.
