Liberals and Satan both want us to feel guilty that that we are, in fact, created in the image of Godm and are at the center of God's universe.
It's so cool that we are that important to God!
We are created in the image of God... yay! (Not “Godm”... spellcheck so weird here)
Nothing. I was asked one time: Did Jesus have to visit all the planets to save whatever beings were there? I answered, nope. We were the only planet that didn’t listen to God so He had to come down here to set us straight.
My ex was pretty spiritual and not long after our marriage, she introduced me to the subject of flying saucers.

One will never really know until you meet one. Anything else is just hearsay.
While on one of the old AOL “chat rooms,” I was asked whether the discovery of life on other worlds, especially intelligent life, would have an adverse effect on my faith as a Christian. I answered, “no, because the God that I acknowledge is an omnipotent God and I do not recall reading anything in the Bible that said that He had to clear this with me. Is there life, intelligent or not, out there? Given the vastness of God’s creation, it would not come as a surprise to me. Let’s be cool and see how this all shakes out.
I am curious, any good ways to lure down one of theses aliens and capture them?
While I’m not going to take a stance about this I will observe that man, as fickle and irrational as ever, has made very different assumptions about the significance of the presence of intelligent life on other worlds.
At different times in the West it has been asserted that such life is alternately proof of God or else proof there is no divine.
As for myself, I’d just be happy if we could find intelligent life in Washington DC.
... or, failing that, Republicans with backbones....
A lot of aliens cross the Rio Grande.
I think what modern sci fi shows like Star Trek have done to the average mind is deceive it into thinking interstellar travel is not that difficult. Stars are unimaginably far apart, separated by a profoundly inhospitable wasteland of nothing. It would take an equally unimaginable technology to cross those gaps so that civilizations could interact. But what do they appear to do once they get here? Abduct some cows? Fly around in meaningless patters? Pile some big rocks into pyramids? I find it hard to believe.
I agree wholeheartedly.
Yes. They really like Reese’s Pieces. If you place a pack in the middle of a large bear trap you’re bound to catch one.
Yes, get out an exorcism manual!
Alternately I could see a possibility that one of the things going on in the Millennium is some REAL long distance missionary work.
Strut up and down in front of some poor soul, whom no one is ever going to believe, making meep meep noises as a joke.
NO! That question contains the logical fallacy called Argument by Assertion. The assertion is that there are actual communications with entities that could be authentic extra-terrestrials. The alternative of such communications being delusions is not included.
I’ve met them twice. Nothing religious in anyway was expressed.
The Bible says the stars are lights in the sky affixed to a firmament.
The people who say, “Surely God would have created other beings. Why waste all those planets?”, are thinking too small and too short. All of Creation is for us, the born again Believers. We will enjoy ETERNITY in the activities of exploring and developing the infinite Universe in immortal, glorified bodies exactly like Christ had when He walked out of the tomb on the first Easter Morning.
