Moscow | National Security Agency whistleblower Edward Snowden, has made a new controversial claim yesterday during an interview, saying that he possesses some classified information proving that the CIA is behind the “theory of Global Warming”.
Snowden, who lives as a fugitive in Russia after leaking documents about the NSA’s surveillance programs, has made some previously unreported allegations during an interview with the Moscow Tribune.
Mr. Snowden says the CIA first orchestrated the spread of the “Global Warming scare” in the 1950s, in order to divert the attention of the scientific community, from the dangers of the weapons race and reinforce its control over research institutes.
“I have documents showing that the CIA invented the whole thing,” claims Edward Snowden. “Global Warming was invented to both scare people, and divert their attention from other human-made dangers like nuclear weapons. The CIA gave millions of dollars to any scientist who would confirm the theory, so many unscrupulous scientists did what they were told in order to get the money. Now, there is so much fake data to confirm that Global Warming “exists”, that they actually convinced everyone that it was real.”
Edward Snowden was hired by an NSA contractor in 2013 after previous employment with Dell and the CIA. In the month of June of the same year, he revealed thousands of classified NSA documents to journalists. He also claims to be in possession of CIA documents, linking the agency to many illegal activities.
The US government filed espionage charges against him shortly after his revelations were made public. He has been living under asylum in Moscow, after fleeing the US for Hong Kong in the wake of the leaks.
On July 28 2015, the White House has rejected a “We the People” petition of nearly 168,000 signatories, to pardon him.
He has since threatened to release other documents in his possession, which he claims would be far more embarrassing for the American government than the ones he has already rendered public.
What caused the PETM then? As for what caused the Younger Dryas, I am in the Celestial Event camp. Could have been a Comet, Asteroid or even CME.

Yes, extra Carbon does wonders for plant growth. In fact after the Younger Dryas we hit the Climate Optimum in which temperatures were higher than today. Farming was able to be conducted at higher elevations, 1500 feet higher in fact.
These are all interesting questions in how the Earth works. Why does the planet enter glacial and what causes the interglacial periods?

Nuclear power is a threat to mankind and all other life on Earth. Fukushima is still dumping waste water into the Pacific Ocean, part of the containment vessel was found in Europe. Nuclear power must either move to a safer less polluting method, or be put out to pasture.

Actually, it’s been going on longer than that. Years ago I stumbled across one of the greatest websites I’ve ever found showing actual newspaper headlines re: ‘global warming AND cooling’ for nearly as far back as newspapers have been distributed.
They would usually switch it back and forth from “we’re all going to freeze to death or burn to death” in the future depending upon whatever upcoming global weather catastrophe needed to fit the narrative and they did it-on average-just about every 20-30 years or so. As science became more popular, they began useing the phrase “scientists say...” or “science tells us” more and more. It was amazing how right out in front of your face it was actually done!
Alas, and as usual, it was lost when my machine was zapped in a lightning storm(this was back in the dial-up days of yore-it came in thru the phone line) and while I’ve since
found a couple sites that were somewhat similar, I have been unable to find that gem again.

As of April 2017, 30 countries worldwide are operating 449 nuclear reactors for electricity generation and 60 new nuclear plants are under construction in 15 countries.
