Memorial Day weekend would seem like the best time for a big summer blockbuster to hit the theaters, but in recent years audiences have been focusing more on their tans and grillmaster skills over the holiday than going to a movie theater.
Past Memorial Day holiday weekend openings that were instant fails at the box office include: "Tomorrowland" ($33 million opening weekend), "Alice Through the Looking Glass" ($26.8 million), and "X-Men: Apocalypse" ($65.7 million). Now you can add two new releases from this year to that list.

I still can’t figure out why adults would want to see a film depicting a comic book character.

Tomorrow is Memorial Day. July 4th is Independence Day. December 25 is Christmas. If one is going to be offended at the non-recognition of holidays on dates that aren’t the holiday ... well, there’s the whole year!
I’m so offended that you didn’t wish me a happy birthday today.

I like Gal Gadot and the fact that she is an Israeli Defense Force Veteran and the fact she drives the Sharia Blue Dems insane makes me smile Me too. I will be buying our family tickets just for that reason, despite an odd-looking story. It cannot possibly be worse than Age of Ultron.

Not deserving of the mantel of Alien. BY FAR, the worst Alien movie. I revel in Ridley Scott's failures. He is a self-hating leftist creep who harps about Palestinians and smeared Christians in the absurdly false "Kingdom of Heaven." I wish he were gone instead of his brother Tony, who made many films showcasing the U.S. military (Top Gun, Crimson Tide), but who sadly left us in 2012.

I lived Lala Land. I was upset it didnt get best picture. It should have. The music was great! Are you kidding? How could that shamefully White epic possibly be allowed to beat Moonlight, which featured POC homos? Not a chance.

This new one looks OK but she is not Linda Carter pretty by a long shot. You should liked her titties. Gadot is a better actress.

When is “Frozen 2” coming out? Disney will make $2 billion on that if it is half as good as the first one — unless they destroy it by adding a dindu or Muslim princess, or making Elsa a dyke.

DC built their movie universe on the termite-eaten foundation that was Man of Steel. It’s been nothing but garbage from there.

The review in the paper said Christians would be disgusted by the portrayal of a Christian character in that (and the reviewer seemed happy about it). Any details?

If you want to ogle women you can do so for free on the internet, or so I'm told.
There was something recently--don't remember what--where aliens land on earth and the robot taps into the internet. He says, "Captain, its some form of mass communication and information repository, but it's mostly used to transmit pictures of naked earth women and videos of a creature known as a cat!" Heh.

The SWJs have been petitioning Disney for years to put Elsa in a lesbo relationship. I think they’d be happiest if it was with Anna.

The trailer for WW was painfully stupid.I said the same thing to hubby when he mentioned maybe wanting to go see that. Maybe it's the outfit; but, it looks like a clunker to me. He said he would wait for the Tomatometer on this one. I'm pretty sure it will be a green splat.

These search engines have been putting up some theme for the holiday weekend. They've not done it. If they do something for Memorial Day itself I'll stand corrected however I remember Dog Pile and DuckDuck doing it before to cover the weekend. On Memorial Day folks will be heading back from whatever campground they stayed at to beat the traffic home; those that stayed home will enjoy the day. For these holidays we're bombarded with sales for this and that totally obscuring the meaning of them. For the Christmas holiday read: Holiday Season, there's ad after ad after ad and car sales ad nausea.
Next time post your birthday; maybe I'll remember it next time.
