It's the final day of Donald and Melania Trump's first official tour as President and First Lady, and it looks like 47-year-old Melania is eager to go out with a sartorial bang.
After having made a chic arrival in Sicily, where her husband is attending a G7 summit, Melania stepped out Friday morning in the coastal down of Catania, making a very stylish statement in a $51,500 coat by Dolce & Gabanna, which was covered with colorful 3-D flower embellishments - and came complete with a matching $1,630 purse by the Italian luxury label.
However, the First Lady traded the statement coat for a shimmery, high-neck silver dress and equally sparkly $945 shoes by Dolce & Gabanna to attend a concert by the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra at the ancient Greek Theatre of Taormina with her husband, President Trump, on Friday evening.
Although the price of the one-of-a-kind dress is not known, made-to-order dresses from D&G's couture runway shows reportedly start at a minimum of $40,000.
Melania looked radiant as she and Trump arrived hand-in-hand at the concert, which was attended by other G7 leaders, including France's new president, Emmanuel Macron.
Macron gave a big smile when he shook hands with Melania, just one day after his awkward handshake with her husband.
At their first meeting ahead of the NATO Summit in Brussels on Thursday, the two leaders locked hands for so long that knuckles started turning white.
Trump finally seemed ready to pull away - but Macron evidently wasn't. The French president held the shake for a few seconds more. Both men's jaws seemed to clench.

I don’t really care for the dress. Besides the sparkly aspect it’s kind of matronly. But as usual she looks beautiful.
So far not impressed with D & G designs.
Copy that dress I must. Look like potato sack on me it will. (Honoring Star Wars anniversary)
Stunning! Both of them.
PING
Beautiful....thanks for posting.
People have the NERVE to live there, too! /envy
So....
Here’s to:
bruschetta
spaghetti
pizza margherita
Corvo’s Glicine
Confetti a la Sicilia (HUGE Jordan almonds)
table grapes
calamaris
fresh shrimp
...and even grappa
with a café Americano and biscotti
And then, later, either Donnafugatta or almond dessert wine.
Or something like that.
its a bit fashion forward but I like it
The silver and pleats add width and weight. She’s worn better. I LIKE the flower jacket-skinny people can get away with that.
I'll go for the bruschetta.
D & G ‘s lowest runway couture starts at 40k so im sure the libbies will have a lot to complain about!
I feel like Melania is in her habitat in Europe. She appears so much more happy and relaxed.
I remember an Italian wedding some years back. I left at 4 am and they were going strong. 9 course dinner, too.
You can buy the balsamic reduction sauces in white or red. They’re expensive by the bottle, but they’re so strong that you use just a touch. And they have no sodium at all.
Drizzle the red on the bruschetta. It’s what the restaurants do.
Over in Sicily, the pizza tastes so different. Turns out they use bits of moldy pizza dough that’s made without beer yeast as starters. With all the years of vineyards and other minerals in the earth, the whole pizza is different tasting.
Imagine eating pizza at a joint overlooking the Med. No bugs, either. Just the smell of flowers at night this time of year. Wisteria, IIRC.
In Taormina. Look at the pix.
Beautiful! I love it - and it’s sure a lot better than most of the things twitter talks about!
twitter is only mad because the jacket is valued at so much... they didn’t complain about Moochies $500 Lanvin tennis shoues for gardening !
Trump knows how to build relationships and still be frank.
For $51K, there better be some real flowers on that jacket along with someone to occasionally water them.
How fastidious; pulling a wedgy out of her crack.
What an exquisite creature.
Man, did I get more than I thought with my vote.
Thanks for pointing that out.
