Uhhhh. I’m not very happy with what has happened so far. I guess we have to try to push him to keep his promises. But this isn’t North Korea, and if he doesn’t keep his promises I’m out. This is why we voted for him. I think everyone who voted for him knew his personality was grotesque, it was the issues.
I hate to say it, but I agree with every line in my friend Frank Bruni’s op-ed in The New York Times today. Where is the great negotiation? Where is the bull in the china shop we wanted? That budget the Republicans pushed through was like a practical joke… Did we win anything? And this is the great negotiator?

The CR was for the last of Obama’s fiscal year. For Trump to pitch a major fight over it at this juncture didn’t make much sense. Trump was fully engaged in trying to keep the IC from destroying his presidency in the bud. Plus Ryan and McConnell had zero inclination to modify Obama’s spending habits. Trump could have fought tooth and nsil, emerged bloody, and accomplished nothing.
In September they wrangle over Trump’s first ever budget. It will be harder for Ryan and McConnell to argue that we need to keep propagating Obama’s out of control spending then. If Trump fights—and I predict he will—he’s likely to emerge with something to show for it.
We’ll see.
I believe that the press already know everything there is to know about Comey. But since he one of them, they will defend and protect him until hell freezes over. But as far as Comey’s “duplicitous machinations” goes, I read more that one post here by a poster proclaiming that Comey is “straight as as arrow” along with an equal number of posters claiming that he [Comey] was a “straight shooter” Evidently they were obama worshipers and Clinton worshipers because no one that ever worked either the muslim of a Clinton is honest.
Listening to the McMaster segment embedded in this article, why do we need Trump to go gallivanting around to Muslim countries preaching “peace and harmony”? Didn’t we just get done with eight years of that crap from Obama? We have very serious problems in the U.S. and in Washington, DC that require this president’s complete and undivided attention, yet we are getting a replay of the liberal agenda from him. Growing up in the fifties we all read the story of “The Emperor’s New Clothes”. In the story the Emperor is wearing nothing at all, yet all the people who slavishly supported him no matter what he did thought his “new clothes” were beautiful. And told him so. People are seeing in DJT what just ain’t there. It will take a bloody divisive Civil War to get us our country back. The presidency of this man is being destroyed from within as well as from without. I agree whole heartedly! I’ll throw in there DACA as well! Seems many are measuring his success on the EOs he has signed. So why aren’t we signing an EO to overturn DACA and make anyone brought in under it illegal and deported as a result?

The day before Comey was fired, my irritation, anger and frustration with him were about at a boil. He could have settled the lunatic Russia Russia Russia hysteria so quickly and easily. But he was stringing it along, smearing Trump with hints and innuendos, and doing everything he could to stir the pot. I was beside myself.
When I found out Trump had fired him, the relief I felt defies quantification. It was like getting an absessed tooth treated. Sheer delight.
Trump still has to get his guy in there, and can McCabe. But the worst is over. It can only improve from here.

Nope not saying he would. However I do believe his approach would of course be different. They are two different people one political and would drive from a constitutional angle the present by fighting over Twitter and coming in with a sledge hammer.
I do not believe his communication team is good at all. I believe they should recommend he do prime time addresses as Reagan did. Make the case to the American people from the Oval Office. A well rehearsed message and in Teleprompter not off the cuff. Take it to the American people. Tell them what you are trying to do, how you wish for it to be done and why it is good for our Country
