Friday on CBS This Morning, long-time CBS News personality Bob Schieffer reacted President Donald Trumps decision to fire FBI Director James Comey earlier this week.
While many have made comparisons to Trumps handling of Comey to Watergate, Schieffer said he saw parallels to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
You know, there are many parallels Watergate, Schieffer explained. But I have to tell you, I think all the way back to the Kennedy assassination, to draw parallels. I was there, as you know. I have always felt that if Lee Harvey Oswald had been put on trial, a lot of these conspiracy theories that are still circulating today would have been put at rest then. It is absolutely imperative that Donald Trump finds a way to reassure the American people that these questions about Russia are not true if that is his version. Hes got to lay it all out and find ways not just to tweet out every morning the news is being made up by the news media.

Insanity on display.
When you are a liberal hammer, everything looks like a conservative nail.
Talk about a reach, I think he’s senile.
Goodness. He needs to be institutionalized.
An 80 year old with advanced senility.
Schieffer is a demented old Democratic CBS poodle who literally was catatonic on election night.
Riiight, Bob. It's up to Trump to show some proof that he didn't do something. Ya think the accusers might have to show some proof, instead?
Many people still can’t imagine that the commies killed JFK. Oswald was a trained commie and he murdered our president. There is really nothing more to it, but the old media empire fueled the alternate conspiracies that our own CIA, not the commie enemies did the deed. This way, the commies avoid responsibility while tearing down our own country.
Of course. Trump is a pro-Castro member of the commie party living in Texas and taking regular target practise.
Comey, on the other hand, likes to ride in motorcades in Dallas.
The situation simply could not be more similar.
It’s uncanny!
So, sacking someone for (at a minimum) doing a s**t job, is like a presidential assassination and the assassin being killed because this guy enjoys a good conspiracy?
There are lots of parallels to Watergate.........
So, Mr Schiefer, name one. Throwing out an unsubstantiated statement doesn’t make it true.
Yeah, since talking to an ambassador in passing is the same as murdering a President.
He’s nuts.
His last revelence in 50 years. I would say McKinley.
Trump’s got to show proof? How about journalists practice some actual journalism, and start checking, and verifying their facts, and sources before publishing what they think is a scoop. It’s the journalist’s responsibility to ensure the credibility of what they present for the pubic’s consumption. Today’s reporters are no different than gossip columnists. And they have the nerve to look down their noses at Matt Drudge?
Bob Schieffer’s a commie. And his mommy is a commie. His initials are BS.
“It is absolutely imperative that Donald Trump finds a way to reassure the American people that these questions about Russia are not true if that is his version.” BS
“The very lack of evidence is thus treated as evidence; the absence of smoke proves that the fire is very carefully hidden.”
C.S. Lewis
What BS proposes above is a logical fallacy: argumentum ad ignoratio or arguing from ignorance: refuting a negative.
They still try this gambit, when nothing is there: they just keep slinging crap against a wall (”Some say ... “) and try to get something to stick.
That may have worked once for them before algore invented the interweb, but no longer. Your cow died, BS, so we don’t need you.
Kill yourself, go away BS.
“...finds a way to reassure the American people that these questions about Russia are not true if that is his version.”
I’ll have to admit that the old bastard is pretty good to encrypt so much corruption into one sentence.
>>Insanity on display.
They’re desperate.
That makes them especially dangerous... and stupid.
As deadly as the grip of a drowning 2 year old.
